Hello everyone! I am so terribly sorry for the hassle of having your precious CSC returned to you, TWICE already. Thank you so much for your support through this hard process, if you want and can, please be patient and keep that 500 handy as Kel and I are working really hard on finding a solution, and will continue to submit over and over until we can reach a resolution!!

The 1st time around this is what we were informed of:

• ITEM: Choppy animation • NOTE: While I understand what you're trying to accomplish with the animation, right now it just sort of looks like a weird glitch with the art -- I watched it several times trying to see what you were going for and when I compared it to your references, I'm just not quite getting it!

So since it sounded more of a misunderstanding, Kel suggested to resubmit with a ton more images and links and explanations, which I did. And to precise what she said "sort of looks like a weird glitch" was the point. I explained basically it was not "references" per say but more "inspirations" and provided exemples such as websites, art, applications that do this, etc. There is a huge movement online since a few years for the glitch/VCR aesthetic etc. Unfortunately, it came back with this:

• ITEM: Issues from previous denial were not sufficiently addressed • NOTE: While I appreciate the longer explanation, the original denial still stands

So from what we understand, we just can't roll with the glitchy GIF.. because it looks glitched (not sure this is making sens but you know what I mean?) Soooo trying to think of a way to still give into that sort of mood, twitchy pixels hologram thingy, to try a 3rd time. We'll see from there what happens, and if we'll have to remove the anim bottom line or what. Will keep you informed along the way.

im surprised it wasn't accepted, honestly. The glitch effect is well done, it actually looks like a glitch, too. And subeta's done items that have similar effects in the past.

I hope you are able to find a way to get it accepted without too many changes, it's pretty cool!

i can show you privately what was said and done if you think you might have ideas ;A; i am a bit at loss because yes, i don't think we can "change" it, a glitch is a glitch and it's the glitch she doesn't approve of... may i ask, what other items can you think of? the only one we knew was that Varsity jacket thinger. Which I did ref in there in vain. so far i am thinking to maybe have it sort of fade to grey and dissipate or something! it's really hard for me to put my thoughts into words (especially in english) hahahaaaa ugh

ugh the glitch looks incredible too. it doesn't seem choppy to me at all but the approval staff is sticking to their guns

it was sort of expected since we resubmitted the same item, but we also had hopes that more discussion would bring clarity! it seems it did, just, we'll have to find another way, with a different anim. and i've just had some sort of revelation (which i will go share with Kel right away before i got to bed and pass out and forget hahahaha so hum, yeah hi alloooo lol pinging you directly) --- i THINK it might be because it seems like the WHOLE IMAGE / GIF is glitched, rather than THE ITEM :O soooo maybeeeee if we focus on making just a really small and tight anim that doesn't cover the whole square, and is just just just a bit on the crown itself, and maybe less, color-y? maybe that will pass!! i don't know, since we don't have clear rules and it's a case by case basis it's hard, but we shall try! but for now i am exhausted so bed time it is!! :3 mooch

sooooo, after thinking and rethinking, Kel and I decided to go with a simpler anim for the CI, sadly removing the "pixely" effect as well as the glowing rays, but keeping a more hologram-glitchy style

here is the updated icon:

hope you won't mind and still like it, of course the OV (item) itself will never ever change!!!!
