- He's +spd with Death Blow/Axe Breaker/Att Ploy/Att-Def bond/Iceberg for special, and the New Durandal Forge which gives +6 att on initiation, and Swift Sparrow effect. which all stack so +16 att +4 spd on attack initiation. It's a pretty simple set, the axe breaker is there specifically to counter Surtur's Wary Fighter. (Sheena sometimes has it as well, plus he can double merged Double L&D Ravens without worrying about his stupid speed)

- Nice choice. I keep seeing him in the arena now and thinking he's the halloween version, but nope, it's just regular Niles with his fancy new bow (it is quite pretty on the sprite) Unfortunately, he's not great as a defender as AI doesn't know how to capitalize on his high res, and tends to throw him into situations where he gets destroyed due to his low def, but on player phase he can do some great things. Don't build Sheena, I'm sick of seeing her! lol.

sigh Improved my arena score to 3700 points, best I've ever done, and I'm STILL getting booted from T20 back to T19. (also haven't won an aether raid in 4 days, but I don't really care about that, you still get the daily reward if you fail. Despite this I am still somehow in T19 >.< Ugh)

I'm back in T20 for the first time in months, so I tried to do my best at a perfect run to see how much I could make, but I'm still wayyy too far away from the crown! My max score was 722 and I gave all the kills to Duma, making a run of 3666. I think if I give Aether and rally skills to everyone in my team I could get my score range higher, but it might be harder to get the kills without movement skills and I doubt it will be enough anyway. But then I only have a +10 and a +6 at the moment, so I've got to work on getting those merges first!

nice!! that's pretty low investment, i just gotta pull a good eliwood o: i see surprisingly few of him considering he's 3* p;

- Congrats! Yeah, I dunno if it was just last week, with Duma's high BST or what, but my score of 3700 wasn't even enough to stick to T20, let alone get a crown. My scores were 725-735 sometimes higher. Deathless streak with +12 every time from using two bonus units (one +7) Not enough apparently OTL.

- Yeah, he comes with the Axe Breaker, and his default ward cavalry isn't bad either if you are using ponies. I've seen a few builds with Swift Sparrow, which I supposed would be better that just DeathBlow 3, but mine is +spd, so I prefer that extra attack. (and merging away his -HP bane and giving him a +3 HP boost from the weapon refine also makes him a lot more viable)

I think the beauty of not really following any of the stories is I don't really have an opinion on Surtr lol which makes me more comfortable using him. xD You would think that but I still get destroyed on some chain challenges. T_T

anyone wanna comment on the choose your hero results? Lyn for green ... ugh NO WHYYYYYYY (well I know why but still) T_T missed a chance for another Surtr or to acquire a 5* Hector /cry green was legit the one color I was most excited about and they destroyed me plus I already have that Lyn and most other Lyns which I hardly use D: I feel like the real chances of getting her won't be 25% but like 75% :'D /ready for failure

- CC especially on lunatic are just really hard, regardless. I have attempted them with a team of +5 or better heroes and still failed miserably.

People are speculating that a lot of users just either were lazy, or didn't know they could scroll around to find other units, because 3 or the 4 winners were on or very close to their respective start screens (the exception being Azura, but she was pretty much guaranteed to be the top blue because it's Azura AND that version of her is both new and dumb broken). I'm pretty much guaranteed to get Lyn though, because I don't have any of the other ones, and I already have 2 extra (3 total) copies of her. Partner that with the fact that this game HATES ME and you pretty much get Guaranteed Legendary Lyn . She's not even good for Skill Fodder. OTL. I really wish that Hector or Brave Ephraim, or heck, even SURTUR >.< could have won green. Any of them would have been better!

Duma is my new bane of the Arena. He's actually not so bad in the AR cus the healing temple (and Eir's C skill), but in the arena, he does that 7 damage, and it never gets healed because I don't take a healer, so he can NEVER be doubled, and ALWAYS doubles (and usually comes paired with a dancer so my typical hit and repo/drag back doesn't work).

Yeah, I have CC on lunatic left, trying to get them orbs but failing at a miserable rate. ;_; welp good to know it's not just me if +5s are failing

yep, plus Surtr and Hector may have split voters :x I would have taken literally any green unit except a Lyn but oh well :'D guess the only thing left to do is merge her D:

Duma looks like a badass, I want him so I can play around with how he plays on a team. Duma + Surtr would be wicked cool. :'D AR is needlessly complicated like I don't care what my map looks like, I just want to fight people cause I'm basic and AR looks too cluttered for me to like. D:

I'll be glad with any of the other 3 besides Lyn since I don't have them yet and it would be nice.

How do you even manage without a healer!?! :0 My current team is tank + the Reinhardt (lol) + dancer + healer and they all have different colors (Surtr, Reinhardt, Olivia, Veronica) which is kind of convenient as I don't have to think about maps much.

- For AR I just did the auto set-up cus I'm lazy. I'm really bad at AR, turn limits are my nemesis.
I hope you get someone who isn't Lyn. GL to both of us! I hope the rates of each one corresponds to the amount of votes they got! lol, 50% chance at Azura, 25% chance at Myrrh, 15% chance for Duma and 10% for Lyn. lol. (thye won't but it would be nice.... although, then I'd just be even more pissed when I inevitably still end up with Lyn)

No healer, just Aether. lol. I usually try to make sure my bonus unit is standing on a defensive tile, then I have support with rally def/res to prolong their survivability. A Healer would be nice to deal with Duma's stupid ability, but a healer would lower my score. I should build up my Sakura or Priscilla someday.

I do auto set-up as well! Go us, haha! Fingers crossed for us. ;3; I almost don't want Azura because of how broken she is because knowing me I will cave and replace my Olivia dancer with her and I just don't wanna do that with the amount of time I put into Olivia so far. xD Plus I like Olivia's character better.

oooh, see, I rarely do AR so I don't really know about the scores, except it feels like if a unit dies, it lowers the score by 20 each? (a guess lol) Brave Veronica is great as a healer. I stuck live to serve 3 for her seal so she doesn't die on me and she's become a great dual hitting and healing unit. 8D

- Yeah, that's true, I probably wouldn't replace Elincia as my 'go to' dancer, but her +1 movement has been pretty invaluable on the rival domain maps! It would probably be nice to have that extra movement and stat buffs for Nino-sweeping GHBs too. lol.

Ah, yeah, I don't have Veronica, I should just use my free summon and get her, but I also want Brave Ephraim, and with my track record I'd probably just end up summoning a bunch of duplicates of her afterwards and never get Ephraim. lol. I've been waiting for one of them to pity break me so I can summon the other, but I haven't been summoning much recently, and when I have, it hasn't been green or colourless. She is annoying to encounter as an enemy though, but lots of free2play guides use her.

Best part of the announcement imho :D I have 1000+ grails because idk what to do with them (Marybeth build an Arvis?)

The find and vote results surprised me, legit shocked that Lyn won over Hector but there we go. I don’t have Duma or HMyrrh, and another Azura wouldn’t go amiss (my current one is -atk +res) but the chances are I’ll get another LLyn on my random pull haha.

I’m not sure how I feel beyond that, the art for Duma and Myrrh is great but when I look at my hero merit list, it appears I just don’t use armours so I don’t think I’d get a lot of mileage out of whom ever I pick.

- So Excite! And the Wolfkin Sprites are super adorbs! I dunno if I really need any of these guys, but I'll probably pull until I get one. Hoping Kaden drops to 4* Horse-y foxes. lol.

- I'm just hoarding Grails too, I dunno who to use them on. Maybe Lyon, I've been using him a long in the AR as a BraveLyn/Veronika/Eir counter, but unfortunately he can't counter Reinhardt or Ophelia, so I might need to switch to a gronnraven or build my Fae for AR instead because I have lots of trouble with those two.

i was so happy to see her! i hope we get yarne soon too ;w; i spent my initial grails on xander because i use my horse team to clear content 90% of the time. he's +7 now but i'd rather wait to see if they'll refresh GHB quests than spend so many grails. so i'm gonna save 'em for panne, maybe!

it depends on what skills they think are valuable, i guess. i think i'm leaning towards velouria dropping, because close def is an older skill, but who knows.

Kinda surprised they put Panne in with the Fates beasts but not complaining about free Murderbunny :D I do wonder though if they'll put Yarne on the Spring Banner a la Charlotte/Noire before giving him a regular version?

Wouldn't mind Keaton or Kaden, and interesting they decided to give three of the new units only 4 skills. Perhaps if I get lucky on the free pulls but I think I'll keep saving as I'm nearly at 200 orbs :D

i saw a tweet saying panne was free before i knew the trailer was up, so i went looking for it -- when i saw that it was all fates units, i thought i'd misread the tweet! seeing her sprite at the end was such a wonderful surprise uwu

i think some of the valor skills are available at 4* so if it was just that, i'd think keaton was an option. but having it be beast valor and special spiral? nah, that's not happening. lame ><;

- I don't like Panne's art, it's by the same artist as Aversa and it just looks too suggestive for panne's character. And it's inconsistent, the skin on the face has no shading, and everywhere else it's overly shiny, and the fur textures are inconsistent, especially the tuft on her neck which makes her look like she has some sort of skin disease and not fur.

Yeah, Special Spiral isn't one they are going to give us on a 4* any time soon. But I'm also pretty sure none of the valor skills are on 4* available units, not until they put seasonals in the grail pool at least, since most of the valor skills are on seasonals. goes to look it up Yeah, Exalt Chrom, Lene, Gray, Maribelle and Nina (and Keaton) are the only non-seasonal valor units, and they are all only available at 5*. Gray needs to come down though, lets be real, Valor Skills aren't exactly desirable for inheritance and his other skill is a boost skill iirc. which are also not very desirable anymore, and zanbato is the only inheritable horse-effective weapon that we can't get on a 4*.
