You guys are all awesome - I learned when I was little and made a couple blankets, I do not have pictures! Would LOVE to pick it up again!
Do you guys have any places where you learned online?Cleared by staff, oversized
YouTube has a lot of nice beginner tutorials. The challenge is finding the one that you click with personally.

Thank you! :) didnt even think of that

I also suggest starting out with light-colored acrylic worsted weight yarn, a cheap hook, a yarn needle, and scissors. 😊

I crochet (though I haven't done a ton of it in a while because my ergonomic tool is broken and I need to fix it and I tend to forget about it >.> ) :D and I make stuffies/amigurumi/plushies mostly. Almost entirely working in the round (like those critters you posted). The ones you posted ARE pretty easy, the biggest issue is tension and making sure you have the 'right' size needle. The 'correct' size needle you'd use to work with yarn normally is actually too big for stuffies and you need to size down one or two to make sure your stitches are tight enough that the stuffing doesn't peek out.
The creator of this video tutorial posted this link on Reddit very recently. The series is Crocheting 101: How to Crochet for Complete Beginners, and it looks like a great resource. c:

I'm learning how to crochet amigurumi from a brazilian youtube series, I've done a koala and a dog, so now I'm trying to learn how to read english patterns (while I'm making a bear). I still can't do a bunch of stitch types though >.< I've made a Pinterest board to pin designs I'd like to crochet. I'm kinda of addicted to crocheting! Anyone here working on anything right now?

Please don’t post in threads where the last post was over 3 months ago as that counts as a necro.
As the last post for this was in October of last year, I’m going to go ahead and lock this, however feel free to make a new post with the same topic if you wish.
