i'm safe, we live in AB but my family is all there and i am sooo worried. i have been trying to stay on top of it all so i can make sure they know everything. their internet has been down the whole time and the news doesn't tell you much, until it too late.

And it's definitely good for you to keep on top of things for them. <3 I'm sorry the news isn't doing a better job keeping people updated though, you'd think they would try to stay on top of getting people out of harm's way. :c I have a weather radio that I dig out when out internet goes out, it's one of my better sources of info on things like wildfires and severe weather (it helped last Thanksgiving when we had a few fires in our area).

XD I'm pretty sure I'd have done the same, and just gone back once all the fires in the area were contained. But I also understand wanting to keep an eye on your house and make sure no one is messing with your stuff/taking advantage of the situation.

yes, looting has been an issue., some people are such pieces of shit. there are even people going around stealing the fire crews hoses and water pumps.
