"That's right, Grace." The voice seems to be coming from behind you. "So this is where you went. I see you invited our friend here, too." Feeling something gently pressing against your shoulder, you turn around and find Wilhelm.
Grace appears to be quite shocked. "How did you get here? I was worried you'd be too scared to travel alone, just as you've been for quite a while."
"I suddenly found the courage while I was searching for both of you in the Ice Fields. There was a flash of blinding light, and all of a sudden, all my fears were dispelled. I just needed to follow the light."
"Wow, you saw it all the way there?", asked Grace.
"I would not be surprised if the light was seen throughout Ytiva. I'm surprised Eros' energy did not destroy the planet, but this is completely different from the force he used to destroy other worlds."
Bella looks at the clothing Eros left behind. "I still don't understand. Is Eros dead now? Is that why he asked us for forgiveness?"
"Dead isn't the right word, but I get your meaning. He lives on in some of the ways mortals choose to love." Grace picks Eros' clothes up and places them inside his bag. "But now that I think of it, if Eros chose me to succeed him, wouldn't that would make us--"
Bella then presses her index finger against Grace's lips. "Correction, you'd be assuming the role of my brother, you're not becoming my brother! Besides, you're the same tall, dark, and handsome Grace to me."
"Aw, shush you!" Grace pretends to cry. Noticing that his glasses are smudged and completely fogged up, Bella takes them off his face, and wipes them with her shirt, before replacing them.
"Grace, why don't you try looking at the possibilities again? I think being able to see every timeline overwhelmed you for a while. Just like sensory overload!" "Bella, that's not the same thing, and you know it. Should I tell our professors about this?" "Noo, don't!" Bella tries to tickle Grace on his sides, but he evades her quickly.
"Hey, I understand if it was hard to take in everything that just happened here. Sorry you had to see all these things and get involved in this mess." Wilhelm gives you a look of concern. "Would you like us to return you to your home? I'm sure the lovebirds wouldn't--"
"After we bring our friend to their place, we should try to look for a different venue for the community clinic. Somewhere more… accessible," Bella interrupts.
A) Maybe you should try to look for the owner of the mansion
You suggest that they should look for the owner of the mansion they were exploring in the Lower West Side. With their intervention, the anti-alien alliance can be forced out of the vicinity, and the community clinic can be set-up safely in that area.
"The way that the mansion looked, it seems like some tragedy occurred there. A lot of things were burned, and the place is ransacked." Bella sighs.
"If the owner is still alive, I don't think they'd want anything to do with the house," Wilhelm adds.
B) Why don't you set up at the Survivor Memorial?
You suggest that they put up the free community clinic near or at the Survivor Memorial. It's an accessible spot that does not see many visitors outside of Survival, with adequate space for tents for first-aid and medical consultation.
"That sounds like a good idea!" Bella seems enthused with your suggestion.
C) You might want to hold it in Shadowglen
Shadowglen might be a good candidate for a community clinic. You wonder if the Unliving ever require special medical care, or if they just allow parts of their bodies to rot and regenerate. In either case, it will fill a specific niche.
"We might run into problems with Ecks if we haphazardly go to Shadowglen and set-up a clinic there. Skitters might be more welcoming, but I don't want to run into any problems with the locals," explains Wilhelm.
"It looks like the Unliving are in otherwise good health, for those said to be infected with lethal viruses." Bella shrugs and looks at Grace, who is similarly clueless.
D) Why don't you try some place cut off from the rest of the planet?
It's likely that every place in Subeta has access to medical care. You aren't quite sure. Perhaps they can provide their free services in a place which is cut off from most of the planet.
"Shengui Guo, perhaps? We arrived in this planet shortly after the void in that place was lifted." Bella turns to Wilhelm, observing his expression. He seems dissatisfied with the suggestion.
"What about the moon?" "As in Atebus?" "Yes!"

Ahhh, anon. I hope this story isn't over yet. I've become attached to the characters. xD I suggested them to set up the clinic at the Survivor Memorial, so I'm glad they liked that suggestion. haha

Wilhelm takes his phone out of his pocket, and scrolls through what you presume to be a message he just received.
"Would you look at that. Someone's inviting us to Ziara, up in Atebus. They told me they'll send a proper invitation to the office within a few days." Bella and Grace move closer to Wilhelm, peering into his screen.
Wilhelm returns his attention to you. "Are you attending the Masquerade this year? If you are, we might see you around!"
Grace raises an eyebrow at Wilhelm. "Wilhelm, aren't we forgetting something?"
"Taking our friend home? I did say we'll do that. What are you all waiting for?"
"No, that's not it…" Bella responds.
Remind them about Grace's book
You remember giving Grace's book to Wayne. With Wayne turning on all of you like that, you wonder if he'll ever return the book to Grace.
"He can keep the book if he wants. He needs it more than I do."
Remind them about their mission to help you find love
Didn't Wilhelm tell you that they can help you find love? What ever happened to that, was it just an empty promise?
"Love is in you. Part of loving is the journey you must take. If you're going to ask someone to matchmake for you, where's the fun in that?"
"Thank you for showing us so much kindness." Bella grins at you and gives you a hug.
"Despite running into people who are less receptive to our coexistence among you, people like you have given us hope in Subetans as a whole," adds Grace.
"Continue to regard people as equals, regardless of their race, sex, creed, or any other differences." Wilhelm smiles as he leads the three of you out of the forest, where a snow-ready vehicle is parked at one side. He opens the passenger door and motions for all of you to enter the vehicle. Just when you notice a cardboard box bearing your name in one of the backseats, he enters on the driver's side. After he has started the engine, he begins to maneuver the vehicle through the snow.

I'm torn between the choices here tbh! The Memorial and Atebus both seem pretty awesome to me. c: /pretends I made a choice Hell yes, who can wait for Masq?! It's one of my all-time favourite events! Kidding. It's definitely my most favourite. ^_^ /reminds gently about Grace's book These guys are so easygoing and forgiving. c: It's lovely to see. Losing things is sad though.

I've been really busy since Masq started and trying to concentrate on a thousand things, and I'm usually a scatterbrained airhead on my best days so really, I shouldn't be surprised.

Stepping away from the crowded dance floor, you make your way to the Libertine Lounge and prop yourself a stool close to the bar, resting your sore feet. Oddly enough, it looks like it was vacated in a rush. Perhaps all the guests of the yearly masquerade are in the mood for dancing right now.</p>
<p>The bar is in disarray, shattered glass scattered on the counter. A wooden board with clumps of cream rests against a bar stool. A toppled-over, liquor-soaked handwritten sign partially reads, "Self Drinks break." You can&;t quite make out the rest of the writing.</p>
<p>"What in carnation-laced liquor…"</p>
<p>A figure crouches down to the side of the counter, taking out keys from his pocket to unlock a small door. He enters the counter and shakes his head at the mess. Seeing no one else around, he looks at you and growls.
</p><p>You vaguely recognise him as the barkeep.</p>
<p>"You there. Do you know what happened here?"</p>

How would you know what happened here? The lounge was in this state of disarray when you got here. The barkeep&;s facial expression softens, but he still seems to be on to you.</p>
<p>"Are you sure? It&;s a little suspicious for you to be the only person here right now."</p>
<p>You&;d think the lounge would have CCTV cameras or anything that can shed light on whatever altercation could have happened here. What could it have been? A brawl? An elaborate prank?</p>
<p>"No, I&;m getting ahead of myself. Sorry for suspecting you. I&;ll just call security to investigate this and clean up all this mess." The barkeep turns around and searches for something on the shelves. He takes a small bowl, a few bottles, and a spoon, placing them on the counter.</p>
<p>"I figure you might have been here for a drink or a snack? I&;ll prepare a little something for you. Just take a seat."</p>
<p>He walks to the fridge and takes a bottle of honey, then returns to the spot where he left the items from the shelf, to prepare a drink for you. You watch him meticulously measure each ingredient with a bevy of measuring spoons, and stir it gently.</p>
<p>He then slides the finished drink to you, wordlessly.

If he had to leave the bar for some reason, he could have closed it, or entrusted the lounge to a different barkeep. It&;s impossible for him to be the only person working at the lounge, after all.</p>
<p>"Just because a bar is unattended doesn&;t give you free licence to just throw around drinks I worked so hard to prepare like they&;re balls for foosball."</p>
<p>What&;s wrong with this guy? You understand he&;s generalising, but what can he expect from drunk clientele?</p>
<p>"I really needed to go to the bathroom earlier, so I prepared a few glasses of a new concoction we offer, but I return to this… mess. The bathroom closer to the lounge was clogged. I had to go downstairs just to relieve myself." He shakes his head and glances at you momentarily, hanging his head.</p>
<p>"Sorry for getting worked up just now. You probably had nothing to do with this. Let me make you something. Feel free to take a seat." The barkeep turns around and searches for something on the shelves. He takes a small bowl, a few bottles, and a spoon, placing them on the counter.</p>
<p>He walks to the fridge and takes a bottle of honey, then returns to the spot where he left the items from the shelf, to prepare a drink for you. You watch him meticulously measure each ingredient with a bevy of measuring spoons, and stir it gently.</p>

<p>You look at the carefully crafted drink and take a sip as the barkeep tries to clean up the mess. As requested of you, you give the barkeep your opinions on the honey spritzer.</p>
<p>Now, you have the urge to go to the bathroom. You check on the bathroom closest to the lounge, just to find both of them locked, with a "Cleaning Time" sign hanging on the doorknobs.</p>
<p>The only other bathrooms are located downstairs, so you make your way to the elevator. Inconveniently for you, the display panels close to the doors shut off just as you press the "down" button. The fire exit seems to be the only way to go, at this point.</p>
<p>You overhear what seems to be muffled conversation as you make your way down.</p>
<p>"… what I want… can&;t… you better…"
"I can&;t do… one time… not again…"
"…I leak… reputation will be… sees it…"
"You monster!"
"It&;s not like I didn&;t warn you not to get involved with me. I know you couldn&;t resist me, because I was the only one who could love you."
"You played me for a fool. I shouldn&;t have trusted you."
"Just do as I say, and we can live our lives peacefully. No one and nothing to run away from. All my riches would be yours."
"Do you think I care about that?"
"I&;m the only person you have left. Remember that."
"I can&;t do this, Brandon."</p>

</p><p>The man in black turns to his right and leaves the woman behind. You can&;t see much of his face, or even his mask as he descend the stairs ahead of you. You part ways as you see a sign reading "BATHROOMS THIS WAY" on one of the floors.
