well see here&;s the thing. 2048 has always just been kind of a time-wasting game, not a game to play for rewards anywhere before subeta. but more than that, it&;s also open source. that means anyone can download and look at and manipulate the game however they want. we just used that open source game and put our own images in it. and being open source means that it&;s very, very easy for pretty much anyone to "hack" the game. so with all that in mind, we decided to simply make an achievement for it and let it be what it&;s always been, a game to play to pass the time. 😄

i just wanted to post again to clarify about the rewards thing. i feel like y&;all are putting more emphasis on the &quot;hacking&quot; part of what i said before and less on the fact that we really wanted to stick to this game&;s roots as something to pass the time! if you played 2048 anywhere else you&;re not going to get rewarded for it, you&;re just playing it because you enjoy it and/or you want to see how far you can get. we love the simplicity of just playing a game for the sake of it, and that was honestly a big part of the decision!</p>
<p>we want you guys to have something that you play because you want to play it, not just to get sp out of it. if you&;re not a 2048 person, you&;ll never feel &quot;penalized&quot; for not playing. and if you are, now you can have a subeta-themed option to throw into your rotation!
