the font change is fine, but the size changes are killing me - some things are way too big, while others are a bit too small. so i&;ll leave the font as-is, but i&;m gonna go ahead and change everything to 12px.</p>
<p>(btw if anyone needs it, that looks like this)</p>
<p>body, html {font-size:12px!important}

THANK YOU. The sizes drove me crazy, this is super helpful!

There's a bunch of little changes to formatting for me now. I added the CSS to make everything Veranda, but the spacing between lines is a lot larger than it was. Here's a comparison since I still had a couple tabs open from before the change:

Thanks for the information. And glad to see the site making changes that will help with coding and maintenance going forward.

In this case, I find that the new font is not dark enough (there is too little contrast) and that causes problems for my old eyes. Also, it is either too small or numbers are just not clear enough for me to quickly and easily read prices when questing or pricing my shop (usually my biggest font problem). I usually set my browser (Chrome on a Windows PC) to 90 percent, so I can see most of what I need on the site without a lot of scrolling, but now I can't read things at that size any more. I may have to try out some custom CSS and see what happens.

I have the "old eyes" problem and I'm using a chromebook which has a WAY smaller monitor than the PC I had previously. I normally have things "blown up" beyond 100 percent and it's been OK. Eyestrain is a normal part of being old and looking at computer screens. This change has caused problems with proportion, etc (as others have said) and I am technology challenged. This tells me I need to "put the internet down" for the night, lol!! I'm much too tired to figure out how to fix this now. I'm a bit sad because I've had to spend less time in subeta in recent yrs due to aging issues and now this change has wigged things out a bit more. I hope I can figure out how to make things more visible when my OLD eyes are not so tired!! I actually DO like this font, and I can see it better as I'm typing this post. hmmmm . . .

Everything looks magically more crisp o_o I am near sighted, but sitting back in my chair is far enough away I have a hard time reading fonts so I tend to slouch when I'm really on the forums a lot. Apparently the font my computer system is using is more clear than the previous one though because it's significantly easier for me to read it from a distance, even though I'm pretty sure it's the same size. With the Verdana font, I find that adding the following seems to approximate the original size close enough: font-size: 55%;</p>
<p>Can&;t remember what the original CSS settings actually were.

Omg, thank you for that. Looks just about perfect to me; I prefer the older way but applaud the change for those that will enjoy it :D

i know it looks kind of convoluted but it works for the sidebar, forum, the forum front page, quests, events - the only thing i couldnt figure out was the custom bookmarks.

anyway the sizing is what works for my screen, but if not for yours it's pretty easy to change the number to suit.

body, html { font-family: Verdana!important; font-size:9pt!important; }

div.sixteen.wide.column, div.forum_signature, div.three.wide.column, div.thirteen.wide.column, div.seven.wide.column, div.five.wide.column, div.ten.wide.column, div.eight.wide.column,div.four.wide.column, div.twelve.wide.column { font-family: Verdana!important; font-size:10pt!important;}

I sadly have to say I dislike this new font, it feels huge and really in my face and I'm noticing in some places it seems too big and forces things to not look as good, such as the events on my sidebar, it seems to push the toggle arrows over a bit and almost overlaps the text, looking a bit weird and the notifications number now overlaps the line below it slightly. Overall, it is really bugging my eyes pretty badly... x.x

It's going to take some time to get used to this, but I'm not going to change it right now, and see if it works out for me. The dashboard/events look a little weird, and the news comments are tiny though!

bless everyone coming up with the CSS to fiddle with the sizes and make the site look the way it did. much prefer that 13 pt verdana imo. this might be good for whoever actually likes their system's defaults i guess ( ? )

The new font gave me a headache with the random size changes everywhere, some of the font was so tiny it was hard to read, bleh. Very much dislike.

TBH this change is exceedingly terrible and there are literally a dozen other fonts you could have used.

Also, quotes, the sidebar, the clock, etc, are all screwed-up now.

There's a reason this font isn't used by anybody, and it's because it sucks.

thanks for the update and option to keep it the way it was...I may be in the minority, but I prefer verdana :)
So not alone!

If it wasn't for the site update ping, I'd've thought something was wrong with my computer. Going to try the code. This font is too small and hard on the head,
