Glad to hear you're enjoying it :) Quests are a great way to earn sP whether you are a new player or not, if you are interested in battling, there are a lot of guides in the Battle forums, the easiest way is to start training your pet in Riverside, it may seem complicated at first, but personally I found it much easier to learn on the experience once my pet had some stats so I could do trail and error learning instead of reading all of the guide info, and then I just referred to the guides when I got confused, since there's quite a lot of information to absorb.
