, , While this idea has a lot of merit, I am a traditionalist and all the PPT items represent our past and are a legacy to where Subeta was years ago. To transform these legacy PPT items into new SL items would be like melting down historic silver coins in favor of minting new silver coins, thus erasing part of the past in favor of the present. I say we keep the old items and cherish those memories of our past.

Furthermore, transforming the PPT items into SL items would be a very low backhanded compliment to Subeta Lodge and in serious bad taste. SubetaLodge wouldn't be honored with new items created to celebrate their contribution to Subeta's lore, their name would be pasted over something which had previously existed to honor some other entity that has since fallen into irrelevance. It would be like warming up some leftovers in a microwave, painting over an old painting, re-purposing flowers taken from a grave to be used in a prom corsage. SubetaLodge deserves so much more then that for their amazing work.

I am in favor of saluting Subeta Lodge with a series of new SL themed items and remembering the past by preserving PPT's past contributions.

I think they should remain, even though I never understood why the heck the most ugly Neopet of all was here as a tribute (which tells you, yes I came from Neo after all)

And I think they should stay (that pink and ugly) as part of the history - I mean... that's something we should perserve.

However I would think it a nice thing to do a SL tribute the site is a most helpful and has a lot of good stuff on there and is always up to date

SubetaLodge should have their own tribute items. Revamp rename or ignore the PPT items, meh whatevs. I wasn't a member as long as the original posters only having been around for ten years, but I just don't remember the PPT as being all that supportive.

I think this is a great idea - after 9+ years here, I came across the PPT items the other day, and had no idea what they were actually referencing!

And looking at those items, they're sorely in need of revamps anyway, so what better time to change the connection and make them reference SubetaLodge instead? ;)

i really love the idea of new items to honor subetalodge - those should be existing already. But i also really love the Subeta history and those items shouldn´t be changed because i always love and fnd it kind of magical to find out why items like this exist. I would be happy if it would be still possible for future subetans :) Both items have a reason to exist and shouldnt compete with eachother and Subetalodge deserves it´s own and new items ❤ lovely idea :) I agree the ppt items should stay like they are :) i love your apposite comparisons :)

I wouldn't be here if it wasn't for PPT - over 10 years ago I saw Subeta mentioned there and decided to give it a go ;)

PPT was well before my time, but it seems a little petty to scrap their old items simply because they no longer provide the guidance and support for this site that led to those things' creation.

New stuff recognizing Subetalodge (a grand proposal) without overwriting PPT's honorary pixels would also create a new category of 'stuff to collect': the offsite-helper homage. I mean this as a user-defined collection (for themed treasure chests or galleries) rather than analogous to stickers or beanbags, i.e. encoded as a collectible.

I agree with SubetaLodge needing it's own series but I'd rather have the PPT items revamped and SubetaLodge having it's own series released. PPT DID help the site back in the past, having the items replaced with SubetaLodge ones just because PPT don't have anything to do with Subeta anymore is a bit far.

At the very least, that shirt should be wearable! I'm glad to finally know what PPT stands for and I agree with don't redesign these, make SubetaLodge it's own cool items.

I love the idea of some SL items. It would be nice to see new things or the ppt to be revamped/redesigned. I've been here nearly 11 years now and I must admit I've never know what PPT was ^_^;

Some items have been changed before... Whether it was their descriptions and name or their design. And, I thought real people items were getting changed too, like the Keith items?

Times change and I think it's appropriate to revamp the PPT items into Subetalodge items. But, even if the PPT items are not updated, Subetalodge items would be awesome. I didn't even know what PPT meant before... I thought it was related to a really old site event.

Aw, I was a user who joined Subeta because of PPT so I would be sad to see these items get revamped and lose their identity. But I can't disagree with the idea to add some SubetaLodge tribute items onto the site.

I think it would be ridiculously petty to change the PPT items. Obviously PPT was an important part of Subeta's history to get those items. It would be a slap in the face to the hard work that earned them those tributes and to users who own/collect those items.

A better solution would be to revamp the PPT items, without changing them or removing the PPT references, and adding separate tribute items for SubetaLodge. Even if you hate PPT, SubetaLodge deserves their own brand-new items catered to them. We have plenty of weird/"useless"/outdated/etc items and items aren't limited. There's no reason why we can't have both.
