Lag lag lag! :K

Goooood morning! There is an Amber weather warning here for snow, currently 4inches lying (which is a LOT for this part of Scotland!) So I've got the day off work because it's too dangerous to travel. The actual Police are warning people against 'essential' travel o_0 However, Hubby & I are going to nip out for something to eat and to do a quick shopping, hopefully missing the worst of the weather.

It's funny, the wind is whipping up the snow from the ground like in a movie, and it's howling round the corner of buildings. Never experience this before, I'll try and get some pictures later!

Good morning, and hello ! It doesn't snow here in Spain, but it's raining, and it seems it'll rain all week :(

At least you get the day off, and you can focus on doing things you need and have a well deserved rest :D

Living in California, I've come to realize that actual seasonal changes with snow just... is not something I can handle (I can barely handle our "seasons" as-is, thanks to year-round indoor & outdoor allergies). Snow is something we visit every once in awhile, then go back to our homes and try to forget the coldness of it all (I'm somewhat exaggerating... somewhat :P)

But hooray for getting the day off, right? That's always a nice thing to have!

We have about 5 inches of fine, powdery snow. Heavy gusts of wind whipping it up but the sky is bright blue and the sun is shining, although it's still bitterly cold. -4c. Obligatory Snow Pic

I’m in Northamptonshire and it’s snowing but not heavily; i’m so jealous. I love the snow. Maybe it’ll get heavier later today, I can but hope :D

SCOTLAND! Whereabouts are you, in the Highlands by the canal? I spent a little over 6 weeks in Scotland in 2013 and legit left a bit of my heart there. Or found a missing part of my soul there. idk. ANYWAYS. I was going to return this summer to hike the Way but the flu drained all my leave so it has been postponed to next year.

lol, no. I'm on the West Coast of Scotland, a little outside Glasgow. The Caledonian Canal (The canal in the Highlands) is about 160 miles North of me :) Aw that sucks! Just as well you aren't here now, the whole country is sort of...frozen. It's -6c/21f here right now. There's a Red Weather Warning for Snow, because heavy gusts are blowing snow causing drifts, and heavy snow showers. oh and Thundersnow...cars have been abandoned on the motorways because the roads are blocked, transport is all but stopped. It's mental.

We got quite a bit of hail here as well! I'm beginning to wonder if it hailed all over NorCal.

Ah. The area surrounding Glasgow is nice though. I SO couldn't be there in winter though, I am such a baby when it comes to cold! I grew up and spent 28 years of my life in a part of California that essentially had 70F / 15C temperatures year round and I cannot imagine living somewhere with snow. My relationship with snow is much more of "I drive there for the day or a weekend and leave." LOL

Strange! It didn't here in Davis and I am about 15 miles from Sacramento. I feel left out. :(
We have some nice rains here today though!

Because despite being technically the shortest month in the year, somehow February always feels like the longest month anyway. It's like the Monday of months, it never ends.

LOL! I found that January this year lasted for 6 months and February was like 5 days. I am just so shocked it is March?

Bbrrrr! Been really cold here the last week. So cold the pond froze and we can skate on it, not me can't skate just fall on my behind. And the darn cold hard winds are no fun. Can't wait for spring.
