aye aye! starts thinking and sketches random @.@

I finished my entry! Mine is a sketch (admittedly I am not the best artist, so it's a little rough) combined with a passage of text (a narrative piece) that describes the monster. I will warn you, I myself was somewhat unsettled by my drawing haha.

Entry

I first saw it in my dreams - its pig snout poked its way into my nightmares, twisting around on its long, fleshy stalk. It had no eyes or even mouth; only a grotesque, hairy nose. Its body resembled that of a small, naked chicken. Its raw, featherless wings haunted me and smelled of formaldehyde. The only feathers on its body were four long, skinny white ones protruding from its rear. After the first nightmare, I threw out all the raw chicken in my house. It reminded me too much of its unnatural body.

It was not until the third nightmare that I gathered the courage to speak to it. "What are you? And what do you want with me?" I cried. In answer, it began to walk towards me. With every step, it lifted its long leg unnaturally high. It was slow, unsteady, and yet so inexplicably wrong. I could not speak again, move, nor wake to escape it as it approached me. Soon it was so close that I could feel its hot breath snorting out onto my face.

I gagged in my dream as the stench of formaldehyde overwhelmed me. Yet, at the same time, I thought I could smell a hint of perfume. A soft, gentle mix of peach and mint. It was a unique scent, because it was handmade, and yet it was familiar to me because it was a perfume made by the hands of my wife. She delighted in little crafts like making soaps and perfumes. She loved to gift them to people at parties.

Liquid formaldehyde squirted from its udders and stung my feet. I remembered the funeral in flashes of black and white.

And then I heard the voice ringing through my head. "When I arrived in Hell, he told me that I could see you again. It was only after he transformed me that he told me, laughing, that lovers were the most fun to bargain with, because they will do anything."

When I woke, a single long, white feather was on my bed.

My sketch is done! O////O It looks cool and strange XD lol

Thank you so much!! This contest was really fun, both making my entry and seeing what others came up with. Horror is very different from what I usually draw, but I love the genre so I'm glad I got to do something with that too.

As a side... I think a stick figure drawing that still manages to be a cow-chicken-pig mashup design would be impressive in its own right haha. Maybe your next contest could be about stick figures? X)
