I'm in a creative writing class and would love the extra critiques. I am defiantly down for a buddy.

Novel is a huge simp for Dick Gayson and Jason Todd. They deserve better!

((is looking for art for that states this opinion))

Would love piping in for this writing buddies thing ^_^

Kind of hit that "I want to write but I'm too lazy and I need a challenge" point - haven't written anything in a few months now.

Anyone still interested?

I'm in a pretty similar boat - I haven't produced anything in a hot minute and I've been feeling particularly uninspired, I could really use a writer friend to help me brainstorm some ideas I like enough to really dig into, y'know?

What kinds of styles/genres do you like?

Also anyone else who shows up or is still active can feel free to add me for collabs/critiques/whatever :)

All Bingo holds themed monthly bingo challenges These prompt challenges are word count based If you write femslash, Femslash Ficlets has weekly prompts and a prompt table challenge that is running throughout the year If you write fanfiction, fan_flashworks has weekly prompts

There are many other writing communities on dreamwidth (check tumblr too). I like ones with achievements because it motivates me to write. This thread has great tools for many different aspects of writing. If you need help, just ask me. I am interested in being a writing buddy.

, thank you so so much for sharing all those resources <3 Another thing I found helpful is finding monthly writing challenges (in the spirit of Noirvember or Spooktober) and choosing between drawing and writing the specific prompt. More often than once coming up with an actual physical image helped a great deal with shaping short stories and characters.

, my usual go-to genres are fantasy, mystery, romance; take them all and imbue with drama, psychological horror, a touch of insanity and a bit of action (wish there'd be more of that but, truth to be told, I'm not that good at describing fast-moving scenes), then top it all off with tragedy. That's my...thing, I guess :)

What are your preferred genres/styles?
