We have a super busy day around here finishing up prep for the storm... Hadn't even thought about our satellite dish until I seen someone in the area post that they should be taken down... We'll see, it'll stay up at least through tomorrow, but may come down Saturday morning(ish). I'm glad to see the storm continuing to move more east, though this mornings path has the eye going right over where we live...not so happy about that, still hoping it takes that right turn and starts moving more northerly sooner rather than later keeping it out in the ocean! Will update as I'm able <3

Stay safe Theresa and anyone else in the path of the storm. We have lots of family friends in Florida too, including Tom's sister and family in Seminole, near the Gulf coast.

We are doing our best to stay as safe as possible. The storm keeps shifting - or kept I should say. At this point they are very certain that Irma will head up the west coast of the state. My Uncle lives just south of Tampa so he is headed to my side right now - seriously wish I could have convinced him sooner but glad he is on his way <3 I hope everyone stays safe during this crazy storm.

I found a pet in the adopt r us of the new species and it was in twilight so I got that achiement. I saw the crocodial like experiment in there to so I got that one as well.

I too just found the new pet in the adopt are us too,mine is the common color.

Popping in to say hello :) We got power back yesterday happy dance You don't realize how much you miss it until you don't have it! With temps in the high 80's and lower 90's, being without ac is not fun! We didn't get too much damage, main house is fine, had a leak on one of the garage walls which we tracked down to the threshold for the door to my LuLaBoutique. Apparently the winds lifted it which allowed water to leak into the garage downstairs...hubby had it fixed mid storm! We lost 5 of the 4x4's along our privacy fence but the fence didn't fall down, will hopefully have those replaced this weekend. We need to cut down one of our giant oaks because a large portion of the root system is lifted out of the ground. Some of our palms are leaning but we're working on straightening them out. Just minor stuff really when you think about what it could have been!

Hubby ended up with two stitches in his lip - while cleaning up the pool his dog was 'being helpful' and ended up accidentally gashing his lip open. Today he had to take one of the other dogs to the vet because a gash she got while playing in the water (we think it was from a turtle bite) doesn't seem to be healing the way we'd like - she ended up getting two staples... I'm telling you, if it's not one thing it's another! I'm just grateful it's not as bad as it could have been, that our damage is minor, and that we're in a position to be able to do the repairs/fixes/etc. and it not crush us financially! Though if these urgent care and vet visits continue that may be another story! <3

Ok, I have more scrubbing to get done. My uncle brought his two Chihuahuas with him and let's just say they didn't smell the greatest and now neither does my house... it's getting there, room by room everything is getting wiped down, sprayed, scrubbed - whatever it takes to get rid of the hair they shed everywhere and the stink they left...and I thought my dogs got bad from time to time...not even close! OMG! How do two small ass dogs leave so much hair and stench behind - I'm amazed! lol.

Glad that you checked in Theresa! Sorry to hear about the damage, but good that it wasn't worse. I've been looking at some photos of the aftermath and it's so horrible. :(

Our area is hit and miss with damages. Some had little to no damage, some had trees down or about to come down like we did & loss of fence posts, others lost major trees & fencing, and then some lost parts of their roofs or had electrical fires due to the winds ripping the lines out of their houses. Not too much flood damage in our area, but south and west of us it's pretty bad. We were beyond lucky <3

My house is smelling better, lol. We've been busting tail working on it - crazy the places I'm finding dog hair - and not from my dogs either!! Being allergic, I have not choice but to get it done, otherwise I'll suffer from allergy attacks - so not wanting that!! I've gone over my kitchen three times from top to bottom and still keep finding hair from their dogs! And here I thought our dogs shed a lot, nothing compared to their two. Ahh well, nothing a bit more cleaning won't take care of.

Hubby went back to work today, was seriously hoping the warehouse wouldn't get power back until the weekend. The tree work is all on pause until then as it's not something I can do. I called a tree service hoping to get it finished up today, but they want $200 just to finish taking down one of the stumps...I was like thanks, but no. I have calls out to a couple others hoping for a better price, but worse case the hubby, our son and some of his friends will finish it up this weekend.

Mail is on limited delivery and no pickup - means my business is closed until I'm able to ship...it's driving me crazy! I love what I do and miss being Live, logged in yesterday and noticed I lost a ton of members - apparently with no communication from me, several thought I had gone out of business...even though I was posting updates right until we lost services... no biggie, just gives me that much more drive to find new shoppers <3

Glad folks made it through without too much trouble.

It's a typical weekend for me. Though I would like to see a movie I don't want to fall behind in planning and grading. That happened once or twice last year and was not fun. I am so far doing really well and am finding this year much less stressful. :-)
