Godric claimed it was accidental in his memoirs and it kinda was, but they both knew that with the eldritch artifacts she was wielding getting tossed into an active fumarole was pretty much inevitable. She was Hufflepuff when she was alive, and now powers the furnace that keeps the greenhouses warm in the long Scottish winter.
