I have never seen Quentin so generous, it's really amazing. Pete used to give out the odd Subeautique, and Carl does, once in a while but right now Quentin is really spoiling us rotten! You have to love it! :D It's Christmas Day now for you, isn't it? Only 9:30pm Christmas Eve for us. Hope your Christmas was nothing short of magical!

it sure is! we're just about to sit down to a very late turkey and ham lunch now actually ^^ i've had a bit of a headache all morning, so maybe not magical per se, but i'm still in my pj's so i guess that counts for something :P it's kinda spoiled this year because i have a shift at work starting at 5am tomorrow (BLECH) so it'll be early to bed for me tonight -n- i hope you get to sleep early too so Santa can visit!! :D

Our Christmas is very quiet this year. My husband has been very seriously ill and still has a long way to go in his recovery. We had our Turkey tonight and he really wanted to sit at the table, rather than in the living room. It was too much for him and at one point he simply put his head down on the table. He's back in the living room now, on the recliner watching TV. I'm keeping an eye on him for a few mins before I go clean the kitchen. It's a quiet Christmas but it's an amazing one...he's still here. The doctor's had very little hope of that in July. Prayers were said by many and all were answered!

Thanks so much! The big crisis (kidney failure) is pretty well resolved. He has 1 functioning kidney left and it was working at 30% in September. Latest tests show it's improved to 40% (YAY!) He has a wonderful Nephrologist and Dennis has developed an excellent rapport with him. The problem now is a horrible bedsore on a heel and atrophied muscles in his legs from being in the hospital for so long. Neither is life threatening but the recovery period is long and drawn out. Match that with a Type A personality and you get some pretty stressful situations. He's fed up, he wants his life back and the good thing there is that is what is going to get him mobile again. I think we'll be back to normal sometime in our Spring.

yay for recovery and improvement! finding a good doc is sometimes half the struggle, so it's great to hear you've got a keeper, and that Dennis has some good motivation to battle through his current discomfort.
