I did manage to finish my funnel neck sweatshirt earlier, so I can concentrate on K's hoodie now - I made sure to stitch the hood to the lining first, so I got the 'scary' bit out of the way laughs ;) ....although I did just try sewing part of the hood to the body, and the body fabric just slips out of line every single time :K I've abandoned it again for the moment :(

haha -pets- well at least you have zapping fun XD thanks :D We went to a safari park today. Hopeing I'm getting better soon
hehe I've stopped zapping for the moment though - with only 2 skins left, I'll wait for the new ones to be released first :P 😮 Whoa, that's a creepy spider HA! hides behind the chair

You are one productive lady! :D Yay for being done with the most scary bit... I am sure you can find something to do with the scraps too, left from the first attempt. :hugs:
:kicks hood and tells it to behave: Hopefully you can get it to work right. :)
Fun! Did you see anything cool at the park? :wiggles ears:

nods the first attempt scraps will probably be reused for something, but I need to get this one done first, just to make sure I don't need to reuse any of the scraps to make this one work! ;) All I can think of doing, is either seeing if I can trim the furry backing for the seam allowance, or using some clips or something similar instead of pins, just to keep it all held together better while I sew....

good luck when you commence :D ooh love the very rainy ha. Nimah doesn't seem impressed though. awww thank you :D hehe
animals :P
I tried out the 'guaranteed zapper' this morning, and got a new released skin I didn't even know existed :P hehe thanks ;) I was watching a bit of LoTR the other night, so I thought I'd use the background I bought the other day and make an outfit based on that (when Legolas and Gimli are standing in the rain and Gimli can't see what's going on over the wall :P) That's an amazing pumpkin outfit today! :D (great use of the zapper skin!) :D

ooh congrats :D I did the guarantee and FINALLY got my pumpkin skin :D thanks lol I had to use the long coveted skin. oh I love that part lol so cute XD. Shall I fetch you a stool :P I love the bg with the balloons lol so cute.
have you got many more skins to collect, or aren't you too fussed now you've got the one you were after? ;) hehe it proves dwarves have a sense of humour, as he doesn't try attacking Legolas for saying that :P Thanks :D I was lucky when I sneaked back online the day they were released - I was able to catch a restock and nab the second one too ;)

Hopefully you will get some cute baby pictures soon with K wearing it. :D
Furry fabrics does seem tricky to sew, so I am sending you another large bag of patience and some tea:
Hehe.. you did get some good pics there. :D Glad you had fun. :huggles:
Congrats again on the pumpkin skin! You made great use of it there! :D

nods that's what's spurring me on to getting that hood finished - if I leave it too long, he'll be too big to wear it laughs Normally furry fabric isn't a problem (as the backing is quite stiff and easy to pass through the machine), but because this furriness is on the back of the fabric, it's really annoying! :K ;)

Thank you so much for the cat trinket! :D
Hehe.. they do grow way too fast to keep up with. :P
I can see that. :K it will be so soft and nice to wear then. Super cozy! :D

you're welcome! I got a spare one just now, so I thought I'd send it over :D
hehe he grew out of the jacket I knitted him in about 4 weeks :P At least sewing this hoodie should (in theory) be quicker than knitting him one! ;)
nods it'll be perfect for any really wintery weather we get (the last few years it's been more mild and wet than a proper winter with frosts) ;)

That is quite fast. :P You need to send monthly supplies. 👼 new jacket every month. 👼 You are up for the challenge! 👼
Sounds a lot like our weather indeed. :P We usually never get much snow during the winter tho. :)

laughs I'd need a lot more practise first! Although that one was a 6 month sized pattern, so I'm not surprised he grew out of it quickly! ;) This one is sized for a 3 year old so hopefully it should last over the winter, and possibly the beginning of next autumn too :) The pattern does go up to age 8, so if the style works it'd mean I could make several more as he gets older :P
😮 I always thought you'd have laods of snow where you are!

6 more I believe, so I'll go ahead and get them.. You? haha well they became friends :D I'm glad you were able to get back online.
thanks today we had the carpet people over and then went to pick curtains. so much excitement
Sorry for the late replies! We had a hectic (but fun) weekend. There was a Harry Potter Festival that we went to just outside Philadelphia. It was huge! They had 12 blocks closed off for it. I found a nice handmade, frilly Ravenclaw scarf, and there were so many owl things! I also got to try butterbeer, pumpkin juice, and a couple of the candies mentioned in the books. I got a lot of compliments on my outfit. I was wearing my phoenix shoulder puppet, and some people wanted pictures with me. xD He has his own little cloak. Also, between yesterday and today I bathed and re-dyed the chickens. I went with teal for Deborah this time, since the gold didn't show up as well last time. I then re-did Pompom's purple, which came out darker this time because the dye from last time hadn't faded very much.
pictures!
What I wore to the HP Festival. The only picture I have of the whole outfit, my husband is with me, so I am not sure if he would be comfortable with me posting that.
Colorful chickens!

Pompom
Raven:
Thanks!
Oh yes, that's the one I meant, I couldn't recall the name of it. Thanks! It was on my WL. xD
I like what you did with your HA today, too! That background goes perfectly with the ghostly animals. ;)
Thank you! The raven was the closest thing I could find to represent Rain's pet augurey. :D
The swirl was , the background was , and the dots were . If you like the sparkly swirls, has been releasing them in different colors. :D
I always get lost in those mazes. xD
Paddy: Thanks! I had fun with it. =) I like yours today, too! That background is so pretty, and the balloons look good with it. :D Oh nice! Mine are in two different houses, but I don't think it's a problem since I will only be using Rain for RP, and Keet will be my main and I'll use her to earn points. Neat! I hope that she will be able to learn to control it better there. :D Creepy HAs can be fun once in a while. xD I will have to try to make one or two before the end of Morostide!
sounds like you had an amazing time :D and you look so cute XD As do the chickens :D Thanks :d I hadn't played with some of the new stuff yet lol. thanks :D your looking really pretty today. love the greys and peaches together
We had a really fun time! :D Aww, thank you. xD
Yeah, I thought the chickens' colors came out better this time. They looked brighter than last time.
I still have to play around with a bunch of the new stuff, and now they added more. xD
Thanks! I wanted to try out the dress. =)
