Full disclosure: I do have some anxiety about the girls changing temperament as they mature but I have to keep reminding myself -I- am their leader and hopefully my karma's not bad enough to get another dog as mentally messed up as B was. I lucked out in ways. Rafi raised 'Narii to have beautiful cat manners and she in turn raised the boys.

Protect those babies (I know you will.) Small dog aggression (meaning large-to-small) is scary and you just never know who is a responsible pet owner and who isn't. {heart]

I saw something earlier in a book preview that I just fell in love with. Somebody'd taken large, graceful looking branches and bolted them into a easily-climbed tree with perches, silk leaves and dangling toys. It was an interior fixture and oh so cool.

My little ones are confined to the house and the backyard. I was lucky, the one large dog I ever had utterly ADORED the little ones and was one of the gentlest, sweetest dogs I ever met.

H just got back. He's been out on disaster relief all day. First helping where we had some tornadoes awhile back and then a HUGE fire broke out. 2 apartment buildings and 17 houses lost so far I'm told. =( It's not a fortuitous time to live here lately.

Oh that is horrible. It seems like disasters like that happen back to back. It's nice of you guys to help out with the disaster relief. Things like this are awful but bring the communities together.
