I know this isn't the forum for this topic normally, but I want to share from my experience with this issue. It does apply to the conversation at paw, and it does relate to the beautiful GIFs that are posted here for birthday celebrations, and I won't go on too long.....(right...Frieda being concise...pfffft! LOL)

Regarding warnings for posting large images: -a verbal warning is a verbal warning, not an official warning that leads to being frozen -Keith specifically stated at the San Francisco Meetup in Feb 2014 that Subeta will no longer freeze people for repeated forum image/signature size violations, they will simply get a verbal warning, and the offending images will be removed. Image size violations are now seen as minor infractions, not violations that need punishment. -A formal warning will only be given for egregious and excessive violation of Subeta forum image offenses. Meaning, blatant repeated violations for the purpose of disrupting the normal operation of Subeta's operating system. (and in that case, instant freezing may occur.) -Formal warnings that were previously given for image violations may be cleared by appealing with a ticket.

I know this from personal experience. Before 2014, I was formally frozen for repeated image size violations due to the fact that I couldn't add up to 450px. I would size my forum image just right, and then add a signature, which would make everything oversize and I'd get a formal warning. It took me two weeks to get it all cleared up, and then I had to refrain from posting any images for three months (gasp! Me, not post my art??? Horrors!) I was able to clear all that mess up after 2014, by writing a ticket and appealing all negative marks against my account. And yes, I believe I was being target for harassment by some jerk. I filed a ticket on that too and the harassment stopped.

The upshot is that there may be somebody out there who is complaining about you because they are silently harassing you. File a ticket to ask for that issue to be addressed. -Try to keep all your images at 300 X 400 px (72dpi) -Larger images may be put under a Spoiler tag (not too large, though) -double-check that your Forum Image + Signature don't exceed Subeta guidelines.

I love the GIFS that are posted here and I wouldn't want to see them go away. There are online image editors that can resize images, even GIFs ( I think Imgur does...) just some things to keep in mind.

Thanks, but I am so done with trying not to do wrong with forum pics and I am tired of giving the person doing it any more reasons to bother me. Because any forum pic violation, verbal warnings and taking away my privileges were swift. Never mine last episode I was in contact with staff member while I was working on it with a ticket, no matter I still got punished so whatever. Its more important for me, to be here.

Big thank-you bear hug ~ filed a ticket today and got all of my old warnings vaporized since they were all relating to image/text size violations. (Cue the Happy Weasel Dance & Fish Dinner Thank-you). 🐻 ❤

I am hoping to remind everyone to post birthday greetings here. When you dont, and I am the last one to comment. Which is the case with this comment. I have to ping group on comment from 8/5/20 instead of current date. So I didnt get in trouble for or not allowed to post again until until user comments after my last comment. So I have been posting on main lairbear chat thread with birthday announcements. I would like to bring it back here so we dont fill up the main thread as fast.

Our Aussie bear , doesnt come on much. But I would like to wish her Happy Birthday, she kicks of the September birthdays right on the 1st day of September. I cant post a wishlist, because it states on her profile, "This user doesn't have any wishlist items!" I know surprising right!
