Very sorry for your family. Good news for your Mom, there truly is no place like home with the proper care to heal. But I do hope they will keep monitoring her for the covid as some are asymptomatic. Hope you can find the proper program to assist you getting a new hot water heater, maybe your city has this info. Overwhelmed would be putting it mildly.

Other than a fever I don't know any other symptoms of covid. And no fever here .
We've had to cancel our trip to see my youngest daughter because they have had a rise in covid. Sad that we can't go but better to be cautious.

sorry you had to miss seeing your daughter, but safty is good. This virus is no joke. Symptoms are a fever and dry cough mostly and then some get things like loss of smell and taste ability, headaches, fatigue, etc.

hope everyone is fine. The whole not being able to see family in the hospital is so very stressful for everyone involved. Major long distance hug to you. Good luck finding help for the water heater.

Hello! c: I'm ridinghood and it's nice to meet you! I've been on the site for a few years now and never joined any type of group. I'm really feeling the sting of not having any on site friends recently and would love to get to know everyone!

I've been spending most of my subeta time working on collections and achievements. I'm into making HA's (though I'm not super great at it) and slowly building up my wardrobe as well. I generally have a love for any kind of site events or holidays.

Sorry I haven't been that active. Has been hectic this week.

For two months one AC unit broke and a few nights ago one of the other units broke and finally today both AC units are back to normal.

And today was a journey all of its own leaving me tired but not tired enough to fall asleep XD

Hi everyone! (Hope you had a wonderful birthday yesterday!) Thank you very much and virtual hugs back. I tried to post yesterday and Subeta messed up, then my cat laid on my keyboard while I was typing and I lost it all. Ugh! Miserable and dangerous in this heat when the AC goes out! Glad they are fixed now. Hope you get some sleep soon. Welcome!

Anyway, my mother is much better, my daughter got out of the hospital two days ago and is on a plane home to Hawaii right now. My brother got a negative on his covid test, and all of us, esp my brother lol, is relieved. My father talked to his doctor on the phone and scheduled an apt the next morning to get tested. That evening he wound up going to the ER and getting stitches in his thumb for using a saw for something unnecessary and getting distracted. He's on Warfarin and bled all over the place when he did it, again after he came home from the ER and AGAIN after his doctor's nurse ripped off the bandage and re-dressed it the next morning. I KNOW they could have done something to prevent it, and that nurse should have been fired. But he's better now and should hear the covid results soon.

I couldn't find anyone to help me with the water heater. The ones I could talk to couldn't help, and others I couldn't might have been able to, but who knows. Several places weren't open because of this mess and I left messages, but got no response. Anyway, I was referred to a very nice and quite reasonable plumber and thanks to my parents, have had a shower and running water the last couple days. Also still catching up on laundry. lol

You are the sweetest lady, thank you. Made me check the calendar, you're a few days early but I'll take it! Second cat tale (deliberate pun) I've heard on Subeta lately, the other was a young mother whose cat had pooped out baby bottle nipples. I just roared, some things border on visual.

Wonderful news about your mother, so glad to hear. Must be wonderful to also have your daughter out of medical keeping. Can understand your brothers keen relief. Got a letter from my doctor today changing my 7/7 appointment to either (she'd prefer) Virtual or by phone. I need to contact her office to let them know I can't do a video appointment as I don't have a webcam.

If I were you I would send a very strongly worded letter to the major hospital administrator (if you have a lawyer send him a copy) about the shoddy treatment your poor father received from that insensitive nurse. If you want action taken on his behalf you have to bring it to the light , show and tell is a close cousin, and maybe that nurse will be let go but only if they know. It would be great to protect others too. That whole episode for him must have been a nightmare, serious blood thinner.

There aren't enough kind plumbers these days, very glad you found one. Been without a hot water heater and no fun at all. Running water and hot enough showers are not to be underrated. At least laundry is the least of all that mess.

you are probably right about reporting the treatment. If the nurse is young it might just be supervised training needed, if older that is just lazy or mean.

I hope you slept well. AC problems stink. I need to be a popsicle to sleep.

Went through a lot of my old toys today. Pulled out some things for Juniper, Brent and Corin my nieces and nephew. My Little Ponies are not leaving me ever. Mine.

Absolutely, there is the chance she is young and needs more training as you say and I agree if she is older she is just not qualified to treat patients properly.

I'm on blood thinner too but not warfarin. I'm on plavix and it's not as bad.
try contacting his doctor and letting him know what happened and maybe he can get something done with the nurse?

Heeey fellow KS'ers. Sorry it's been so long! I hope everyone is doing as well as can be expected in this never ending mess.

Real life has kept me away from Subeta but I always come back! Especially now that there's such a great group of people to come back and chat with ;)

Some real life happenings: I am currently on an ALL liquid diet for 7-14 days. I'm in the process of getting bariatric (weightloss) surgery and just needed to lose 19 more pounds to have the paperwork sent in for insurance approval! I started Wednesday and as of yesterday was down a whopping 7 pounds! I'm hoping I can get at least most of the remaining 12 off before my next appointment on july 6th! I've been in the program for mooonths now and I can finally see the finish line. Whoever says this is the easy way out has NO idea. I'm living off of protein drinks and water right now. Strangely though I'm never hungry I just get cravings.

Subeta related: I bought a CW design off of Tartelette and now I'm freaking out a bit. I haven't bought a design for years, sometime before I went on my 5/6 year hiatus. I am supposed to think of the first color I want and what I want for a CI. I'M SO BAD AT THIS. Plus the item description >_< I also used one of the loyalty boxes sitting in my vault for a new pet slot and now I'm not sure which pet I want. I know I want one of the blobs but they're all so freaking ridiculously adorable!

Anyway, hope everyone has been able to spend some time in this virtual place away from the going ons in the real world!

Ooops! I just saw the birthday cake next to your name. I don't think it was on there very long, but I really didn't notice. Once I saw it I didn't want to forget. I understand the not counting thing. My mother stayed at 39 a loooong time, but she decided she couldn't do it anymore once I reached it. So, 49 became the next age. lol
