The only thing I used when camping was sugar, which I normally don't. I'm not a big fan of powdered creamer usually b/c it makes my stomach upset. No idea why.

I think I would've done the same as you when you had a stare off w/ it, though. ;)

Made some candles yesterday which I'm sure will be less than favorable b/c I couldn't find the bottom weights to hold the wick down so I just glued them, but a couple came unglued. 😞 Will have to look for those today.
My brother slid into a curb yesterday morning and damaged the rim on their PT, and of course, no spare. I made them dinner last night and told them to take my car today. They have an old SUV, that really needs to go to the junkyard b/c there's so many things wrong w/ it, so they rarely drive it. I felt better having them in my car than that so it was fortunate that I was off today. :D

- Oh, most in here are a tad over 25! ;P But, that's part of what makes this place great, everyone is mature! Don't worry about not being good with birthdays, the list is just there for people who want to use it! (All active users birthdays can usually be found there).

& - They're hilarious aren't they? Mind you, there's like 3 inches of snow there, max. And here we are with them calling for up to a foot... we'll be staying home in blankets. (I also highly doubt we'll get that much, but with them constantly saying that much, we'll probably get at least half that, which is bad enough here). It's also supposed to rain right before it snows, and then the temps are staying below freezing 'till Tuesday, so the triangle will most likely be pretty much in a standstill all weekend.

I'm around pretty much all day until I gotta go pick up my kid from the bus and then I'll only be gone a couple of hours (even less if the snow decides to come early).

I'm so cold. Wind is coming at my side of the house so where usually my room is the warmest it is the coldest atm. brrrr.

It's strange but I haven't actually seen more new years tokens today. First 3 days I averaged about 74 tokens. Fourth day I got 101 and yesterday and today 90 something. So I guess my increase came early? I've been doing every quest I can (15 from every quest giver for 6 days), plus the few extras I get from REs when doing other things around the site. I'm not sure how many I need. I really just need food items for my gourmand pet from previous years.

Cardinal in the snow. Always so pretty to look at. Actually one of the few things that can make snow not too bad. :) My brother makes candles too. Usually gives mom a bunch at Christmas. He stocked her up good this year, I don't think she's going to need any for a long while. What scent(s) did you make?

Thanks! This was my 2nd go at this HA. First one was just too busy so I tried to redo her. Been playing in the wardrobe and made a few more and saved the outfits to change into later. Probably will change in the morning. I see you did a sort of half change too! lol I like that hair with the outfit. I've played with that hair but can't make an HA I like with it. I sure wish HA likes worked. :(

The whole house had a chill to it yesterday. I just watched movies all day in my bed, on my laptop. Had different cats on the covers and then under the covers, but that never lasts b/c i move around so much.

And yes, it wasn't until after I posted yesterday that I saw the news about the PS closing. I went through and read ALL the comments and for real, I don't see why Jasper was warned by Keith. I think that person was just venting and not directly attacking anyone. Everything I had WL'ed in there is gone. I also like what Doe has to say and many of those releasers need to chill. They complain about stuff only filling one batch but that means that the item isn't very appealing. Then they complain about people waiting until it's in the shop - well duh! Not everyone has the money right then and there!

- I would like to move somewhere where we ACTUALLY get snow when they predict large amounts of it. Someone needs to fire the guys who predict weather around here, seriously. Basically we've got a teeny-tiny layer of snow on top of like an inch thick layer of ice, that probably won't have a chance to melt until Tuesday. We basically ended up on the line of snow/sleet/rain so the towns right above us got a lot more snow, and we have more ice. If you can tell, I'm not happy about this. But, it is still snowing (not supposed to amount to much) so at least I get to look at the pretty stuff while it comes down.

Changed my ha. Been trying to find older items and using them to make HAs. I think so many items get stuck at the end of my list that I often forget I even own them. I do want the HA hearting to be fixed but no matter when/if that happens my total will be gone forever. This is the second or third time it's broken and if it hadn't my total would be well over 3k. Means nothing really, but it made me happy.

I'm not terribly bothered by the CWPS closing. I mentioned that I was once again getting frustrated at the whole CW community and the buying/selling. Annoyed mostly by once again a statement being made without explanation where a lot of the fuming could have been avoided if the news post had explained the reasoning and if the thread discussing it in the CW forum was out in the open instead of behind a wall of privilege. It doesn't just effect CW makers but also CW consumers.

T - I don't know why the cold is harder for me to deal with this time around. It's been this cold or colder already this season but for some reason it's just feeling too cold for me. I really didn't want to get out from under the covers this morning.

Aww, sorry you didn't get the snow you wanted! Ice is so much worse and, other than maybe looking pretty glittering on the trees in the sun, it's just frustrating and dangerous. :(

well we ended up with 2 inches of snow and down to 0 degrees. so glad it's suppose to get up to 35 degrees today. felt like an eskimo lol
[got up this morning and had no phone or internet until now. called company and they said power outage in the area so I wasn't the only one. glad it's working now.

Keep warm everyone. I don't really have strong feelings about the pawn shop change. I am hoping it will help the CW market thing and make the artists happy. Mostly I buy the CWs with money because my parents have told me to spend money on things that make me happy since I cover the bills I need to and they cover everything else so I should spend extras on happiness. The pretty items and supporting artists makes me happy.

I realized I forgot to tell you about the candles. I save up wax from pillar candles and a lot of wax melts I use around the house so the blended smell isn't very "smelly". lol I actually need to look into different wicking options b/c I've had the problem the last 2yrs of the wick burning quicker than the wax, no matter the double strands I use or braiding the thinner type. (currently using doubled up hemp wick)

I think it's always been a problem that Subeta WAY overcharges for submission fees. They should've started out low from the start and gradually built up as the increase of them became more about database issues. The whole "for friends only or private releases" are about people that are able to buy from said user on a constant basis, whether they actually like that item or not; And while it may make sense that you want to support s/one, most of those supportees are shop owners and have plenty of their own or owned to sell to not really have to spend a whole lot in actual cash. That gets to me. A lot of people complain about how art is being paid for, YET, when you buy a design from anywhere between $20-80, you don't actually GET the item. The availability of said design is solely based on your time here, and how long the site is around. That's like saying "hey, I purchased this piece of art from the museum, but I'm never allowed to have it since it always has to remain here".

Oh, and maybe it's damper this year? That's when the cold really gets to me but it's usually always humid in Ohio. 13 degrees out, currently. That's pretty damn cold.

I was cheesin' so hard when I saw your post about the inaccurate weather-people. (I promise you, it's not their fault) Seems like you were really wishing for a lot of snow, which would've been cool to see, but ice is absolutely the worst. Especially when the temps are what they are here and they have a limited time to try and melt it before it refreezes. Thankfully, we hardly ever get that.
Seriously though, for my smart little one - a VERY small variable can completely change everything in weather. If you read about Chaos Theory, including the Butterfly Effect, you'll eventually come to a part where they explain this about weather forecasting and how such a small variable can change the entire weather pattern. The real fault of these meteorologists is that they choose the job that says, "hey, you HAVE to give SOME kind of forecast, whether you think it's going to happen or not". Later on in your life, when you have serious concerns about what may be incoming, you'll find it's best to look at ALL local forecasts - including ones on weather.com - and make your own educated guess from that. You'll actually get a better idea, since not all their models and programs are the same, than just one or 2 places, alone. <3

My oils and butters came in from Amazon today. Every year for the past few years I've been making my own lotions for the winter. I really hate paying for crap that has such a small amount of that stuff in it that it drives me crazy. This year, I learned about Babassu oil (which is a much lighter version of coconut oil, which I love), and then got some mango butter and rosehip oil, which I've already known about. Made different versions for my body, face and night creme which included vit E and evening primrose oil, which I already take orally. Love love love DIY stuff (just made a vit C serum a month ago, which is very pricey on the shelves but usually bad by the time you actually buy it) and hope to be able to afford more in the months ahead.

- Oh I know there is a lot to consider for the weather! We would have gotten A LOT more, if the temperature would have gone down by about 2 degrees earlier in the day. Instead, we got rain/sleet for five/six hours when it was supposed to be snow, and thus, the inch thick sheet of ice that'll probably be here until Tuesday, when we get above freezing long enough (some will melt from just sun, but will re-freeze a few times). There's actually this local graduate student who puts out his own weather statements for all the big stuff, and he's ALWAYS right. He was predicting a lot less than major media, and he was right. All the local places and weather.com all said 5+ inches, but were all wrong. It's really no biggie, I'd just like some snow, 'cause I love the stuff. Honestly, this inch of ice will be more devastating to the area than a foot of snow would, 'cause it's gonna ruin the roads for days. Our freeways are ok right now, but they'll freeze right up again overnight for a few days.

Oh wow, that student sounds awesome! I'm sure there's more of his ilk (similar people, and idk why this word suddenly popped into my head) but they're not easy to find. And I hear ya. Would LOVE to see a big snow, myself. Just not on a day that I have to be at work... although since it's the new year, I have all my vacation and whatever to use if they won't let me work from home, which all of us in the data center can totally do.
Would totally trade snow for ice, any day. Too many people I know HAVE to drive in it. 😞

- Oh yeah, definitely need more people like him. He also has about a 95% success rate with predicting when his university will cancel/delay classes (usually down to the right hour). And when he's wrong, it's always better and not worse (aka, school closes for longer than he thought, so generally better). I really feel for those that have to drive in this stuff. Thankfully, it's the weekend, so that'll limit most who would need to (of course there are still essential people who need to be out). Monday will be another story, and ought to be pretty interesting in my opinion. We shall see... I don't have anywhere to be until Tuesday, so I'm not too worried about it.
