Didn't think it would take me all day to respond to everyone, but I've been busy making 4 dozen deviled eggs for Thanksgiving tomorrow with the in-laws.....and pinching a finger in my mailbox (the mailbox won)

Or, if there is something I want for sale, it isn't a very great sale. I think that happened last year with some craft items I wanted. The sale price was still too pricey.

I checked out the CW pawn shop, saw some items on my wishlist, but no longer have enough CSC to get anything. And it didn't seem like much of a sale for some things.

I'm not looking forward to it. Chris is, mainly because of the pay. I'll see my parents every day because I have to go over there to feed my horse, and I"ll probably spend holidays with them, but I wouldn't be able to spend the night.

Yes, I realize that, and I don't really plug speakers into my laptop either. The touchpad on my old laptop started to be finicky on when it would detect that I wanted to scroll and one of the touchpad buttons would work every other click. The touchpad on my current laptop is finicky about scrolling.

I don't have a credit card, just a debit card. Purchased the screen protector from Verizon and they said they couldn't do a refund, but I can't remember the reason they gave. I could try emailing Otterbox back but its been 8 months since I bought it.

Thanks! She wasn't so cute yesterday though. She unplugged our small freezer and chewed on the plug. Freezer still works, but I've put a wooden board in front of the outlet to deter further chewing. Ruger technically can't come in the house, so she won't be sleeping on the bed anytime soon. My parents' cat, Pistachio, sleeps at the foot of their bed and sometimes tries to share a pillow. He used to sleep on my bed too, but then I left for college. I don't mind sharing my bed with a cat.

Aw, that's too bad. Hopefully he gets his issues sorted out. Will you still have him as a friend? When Chris and I first started dating, people didn't think we would last because we would argue you a lot, but we were still getting to know each other. She will keep me very busy while Chris is gone. I don't have to worry about her sleeping on my bed because she technically can't come into the house. The couple we are renting the house from don't want any pets inside because they had a bad experience with a puppy destroying walls, wiring, etc, but we've been pretty on top of preventing Ruger from chewing on most things and she's got 7 toys.

They were delicious waffles, we finished them last night for supper.

I haven't been able to get back to work on that yet. I had hoped to yesterday, but got sidetracked by Fireside achievements. Oh, I hadn't thought of a mood board, I might do that on the other blank wall. For the design wall, I'll hang up a table cloth with the fuzzy side showing, so I can stick fabric and blocks to it to design a quilt.

The repair shop has a new guy who doesn't seem very experiences with tires. He didn't write down the info from the right tire and I couldn't wait there all day for the tire to be ordered. I didn't have to pay the difference between the two tires ( was only a few dollars) and I didn't have to pay for the new tire sensor either, since the shop broke the old one. I spent over an hour and a half in the shop Thursday waiting for a tire, and Monday another employee alluded to that wait by telling me I shouldn't have to wait around too long this time.

It does take a lot of organizing. The Christmas get-together with his grandpa always takes place at someone's home each year. I'm hoping that they don't suggest me hosting it next year, because I'm not going to organise hosting 15+ people by myself while Chris is deployed.

Thanks. My mom always used 3 strands of lights for this tree, but I might get 4 boxes just to be safe. I'm hoping there will be some decent sales on x-mas decorations on Black Friday. My pre-lit tree had some bald spots after a strip of lights went out. It was a sad little tree last year, with lights out and a significant lean to one side.

I don't understand it either. Black Friday is a great time to buy Christmas gifts because you get good deals on them. But the sales shouldn't be a reason to buy ridiculous amounts of items that you don't need. Chris assumes that some of those people are buying electricals cheap to turn around and sell them at a higher price later, which is a gamble too. Food shopping would not be fun on Black Friday. Chris and I will probably start shopping around 10 or 11 am, so hopefully most of the crowds will be gone.

I am hoping we can make it to the cinema soon, because there are two movies out right now that I want to see, the newest Thor film and Murder on the Orient Express. But I think we'll be too busy this weekend too, so I may just resort to watching Christmas films at home until we can go.

It is great, and if you fall asleep while watching a show you've already seen, its no big deal. 😊 When I reread Harry Potter, I hear the voices of the actors from the films. I also read the Robert Langdon series, and ever since I watched the first film, I've heard Tom Hanks' voice when reading the books. In terms of audio books, I can be picky about who's reading. I've only listened to the Harry Potter audiobooks read by Jim Dale, but I would enjoy to listen to Stephen Fry's version.

I have found that some touchpads seem to work a lot better than others. I always use a mouse, but have discovered that the touchpad on my newer laptop is actually usable - even for me. Unlike the one on my older laptop that makes me feel technology inept (even with all my computer background) :-)

If your debit card is branded (like VISA) then maybe they would still help you. I highly recommend a credit card by the way, unless you would buy things you can't afford to pay for with it, because the consumer protections are much better. But you do need to always pay the bill in full each month or they can get expensive.

Where is your puppy living? Do you have a yard and a dog house? Sort of a shame she isn't allowed in, but the owners are entitled to make that choice and it sounds as though they have good reason. Teething puppies can cause a lot of expensive damage to things.

- I think Luck is a great username (and hopefully, it also bring you some good luck). But we definitely need a kbbob of some kind on Subeta since so many battlers have such fondness for that name thanks to all the help we've gotten from anytime we had a battle question of any kind.

By the way, wondering if you could perhaps upgrade your shield from the Flayed Lord Breastplate to something else? I was told at T8 or T9 that I had "outgrown" the breastplate, although I do still use it sometimes when the icons match. I think paying close attention to attack and defense icons might help (as well as scrolls). I have low AP pets, so need to be careful about icons when I want to beat a harder challenger.

- just bookmarked the guide you mentions to and took a quick look at T10 (since Tos is almost there). Just FYI, thought you might like to know that Tos has been able to beat Dean during Battle Quests and has recently managed 3 wins on Ice King even though she is even build and pretty low AP. Not sure if you're trying to keep track of first win or what tier for getting to the five win loot drop (or the old ten win max) so you might want to put something about that in the first post. I do have a few high end weapons though.

I quite like the achievements with a prize wearable; for the titles now I have the -is a poet- one, I think I'll stick with that.

I suppose it all depends on what is normal for your own family and friends, and where you live. Here (at least where I am ) there are many restaurants & pubs open on Xmas day itself for lunch and / or in the evening. It's so common they have "festive fayre" menus for every day in December apart from Xmas day then a special menu for the day itself. It's such a shame that something that should be fun can end up being isolating. You should reclaim the season! Get some films from your old favourites or to-watch list, plan one of your favourite meals for each day, luxury bubble bath or soothing shower and read something good. :)

Ah, my other half & brother in law are into D&D as well, we have a lot is gamers in the family. Speaking of which I believe my niece is getting Cluedo for Xmas! On to another generation... Yeah, whenever anyone asks for battle help there are always so many people ready to assist. The community on here makes it different to other pet sites.

People coming together is a nice theme on the site in general. I do like the plots which are us against the site or a common bad guy rather than user v user ones. Better to foster community that way!

I did enjoy Neopets but it felt like hard work. Subeta never has. Things are better balanced, staff listen and will take feedback. It's more grown up!

The main issue with so many tech bods is they have often swapped, traded, transferred between themselves before us on the outside of the department get a look in! But there's always someone who knows something if you need help.

Yeah, a good voice helps. Some of the Miss Marple audiobooks were read by Joan Hickson - my favourite TV Marple - which was fun. I think I had some on cassette tape, so that's old school!

Yes, it is a shame. Personally, I've sort of come to terms with it. And fortunately, now I have enough other things to do and enough outings this time of year not to feel isolated. But not everyone is so lucky. And I guess it doesn't hurt that I'm happy for any excuse to eat Chinese food. :-)

Exactly, the Subeta community is very special.

Well, I have tremendously enjoyed some of the user versus user events, but it turned out to be ones in which there was a great community on my team and in which the team versus team aspect was not taken too seriously. I very fondly remember an extremely good-natured rivalry between two teams for third place in a multi-team contest that resulted in lots of teasing and gifting and wound up with both teams mostly having a ball and started many friendships. But I do agree that, for me, the best events are the ones that somehow wind up bringing users together.

Subeta is just a uniquely wonderful place to be and I'm very happy to have been lucky enough to find it.

I don't know if it was for the Gelatin Wars, but it seems I did see something about a kbblob of some sort. :-)

I hope you're excited about the possibility of five more pet slots (and, of course, the 500 CSC gift). I can't imagine that sort of gift from any other site. I just love how much Subeta always appreciates the users.

No chance, he has major psychological issues he has to deal with & he's in denial trying to blame everyone else but himself. He also has an aggressive personality without realizing it & tries to manipulate. He wrote to me today trying to convince me everyone was wrong & I should only listen to him & how even my own judgment was wrong. I wrote back explaining exactly what the issues were & out of concern recommended he gets help. His real nature showed when he wrote back I was the one that needed help. I am so glad he's not in my life & feel sorry for his kids. Messed up guy.

I'm glad I didn't spend a lot in the cash shop or pawn shop now that new Delish sets are out. And have to remember to save some for next week when the December collections come out too.

So, I went shopping yesterday (5 stores). Black Friday in downtown Montreal isn’t as bad as a regular shopping day in China. There are more people than the normal times I shop; but, you can still move around… and most of the places I went to I know the layout of the store already. We were given chocolate while waiting in line at Linen Chest :D

Also, many stores have their sales spread out over a few days… Thurs-Sat/Sun. It helps reduce the crowds & makes the lives of everyone (including sales people) easier. “Go when you can” philosophy instead of a “rush to get there” one.

So just when I thought the guy would lay off... he tells me how I'll never be capable of having a romantic relationship or hold down a job. Let's just leave the bad words out cuz we can all add colourful language at this point lol :P I've blocked him & he doesn't know where I live (thank goodness). I'm much better off alone... but truth be told I'm not. I have Gismo, people in my life that care about me, you all... I'm fulfilled as is.

I'm probably going to spend all the CSC I have in the cash shop. So many books to get & a few interesting other things as well ^^

It is hard to find good deals, some stores, like Gamestop had some pretty decent deals, but others had iffy deals. I spent more than I wanted to Friday and Chris did too. We didn't start until about 10 AM though. I bought 3 new games for the price of about 1 though, Lego Dimensions, Sims 4, and Witcher 3 Complete Edition. Chris bought a 40" TV at Best Buy that was cheaper than the 32" TV's they had. He also bought a second PS4 so that we can play online games together, like Destiny 2. We went to about 12 stores, only made purchases at 7 stores.

The deviled eggs were delicious, though next time I won't make so many. Ended up bringing 10 or more of them back home. I had an enjoyable time at the in-laws, next year I'll be with my parents.

Its the ring finger on my left hand and its getting better. One half of the finger tip is tender and the other is fine, so its a little weird touching anything with that finger.

Yeah, and I'll always be able to spend time with my friends near home too, maybe see if they could spend the night every now and then.

The touchpad on my newer laptop used to work really well, but then I started using a mouse when I was working on designing things for my wedding as it was easier to use, so the touchpad just seems finicky now. I think my other issue with the touchpad, is that since I broke my finger, its still a little numb in places, so its harder to use the touchpad.

My debit card is a VISA, so they might, but would they still give me assistance even though the purchase was made back in February or March? Chris recommends that I get a credit card too, but I keep putting it off because I can't find one that I like. If I did get a credit card, I would mostly use it for paying for Netflix and Microsoft (under $20/month).

Right now, she is in the garage because we can control the temperature in there for her (small space heater). When she gets a little older, we will build a pen for her in the yard with a dog house, but right now she's only about 3 months old. She has gotten herself into trouble by chewing some of our things that she isn't supposed to, so we've made some modifications to the garage.

I'm trying to get on Subeta at least once a day. Didn't get on yesterday due to Black Friday shopping and getting home an hour later than planned because.....I had another flat tire. :( So, if you need some food items, just let me know. 😄 I'm slowly chipping away at the Fantine achievement with the pumpkins.

The achievements are very distracting. I think I might end up spending more than I want to on pumpkins for Fantine's achievement. I think I should have room for both. I've got a hexagon quilt that I'm still working on, but I've only made the individuals pieces so far. I also have quilt blocks for a baby quilt that my grandmother started but never finished. I'll try to remember to share pictures!

The repair shop is part of the local Ag co-op, so they also receive grain from local farmers. There's another guy that works on repairs but also helps with the unloading grain. I'm glad things went smoothly after that, but I got another flat tire last night on the way back home from the inlaws.

Yeah, I get stressed out easily. Whenever Chris has friends over, I always deep clean the house, which only makes my back hurt (due to a rib I dislocated 7 years ago), so it would be much worse with extended family visiting. I'm not sure I would have any backup, unless I asked a friend or her mother to help. Chris has just said, if its suggested that we hose next year, the answer will be no because it would just be me.

I love a well lit tree. Chris bought 2 boxes of lights yesterday and my mother said we could have the LED lights that she has, so I should have plenty. Oh, purple and silver tinsel sounds lovely! (purple is my favorite color) I found purple and silver tinsel years ago, but didn't buy any and I haven't found any since. I bought some new tinsel last year, but I don't think I have enough for the new tree.

Especially big ticket items. Chris wanted to buy another PS4, and all the slim PS4's that were $100 off, were sold out Thursday night. I really wish stores here would stop starting Black Friday on Thursday. Chris and I went Black Friday shopping, but we started at 10 AM, but only went to certain stores. Stores were still crazy when we were out. We did get some Christmas shopping done though.

Yes, I've got 2 films that I try to watch every year during Christmas season, so I may start watching those this week. I do have festive shaped sugar cookies that I need to bake, so I could make those this week too!

I have some of the James Harriet books on tape and they are read by Christopher Timothy, who played James Harriet in the TV All Creatures Great and Small. All of my audiobooks are on cassette tape. I've gone through a few cassette players, because I would listen to a tape a night to help myself fall asleep.

Oh wow, that's terrible! Definitely not someone anyone needs in their life. Sounds like he knows when to put on the charm and is a little narcissitic (the whole listen to me, I'm right), but can't handle being rejected, since he's turned downright rude towards you. I'd feel bad (and do) for his kids, too, because who knows how he treats them. Was this the guy you knew in college? Good that you blocked him though, and hopefully you don't have to take any further steps to keep him away from you. We're all here for you and I sure Gismo is always ready for a snuggle. Years ago, I almost dated a guy that I considered a friend. He started calling me sweetheart whenever we would text each other (little creepy). Then he cornered me to kiss me.....that's when I said no to dating him. His Facebook posts were all mopey (quoting said song lyrics or lyrics about failed relationships) for months after that and seemed to be targeted towards me. I haven't talked to him in years ( I ignored him when he was at my friend's house). Because the kiss was such a bad experience for me, I have a hard time kissing Chris. I tried to duck out of our first kiss and a few kisses after that, until I finally told him what had happened a few years prior. Chris wasn't too happy about it. This guy wasn't as bad as your ex-friend, but I think I might have had some issues if I had dated that guy.

I am just hoping to get Emily the Galaxy DS that she wants and the new Lego Marvel Superheroes 2 game that she wants. Her dad is "suppsedly" getting her the DS, but I am not sure I want to depend on him to do that.
