How has it been going in the new apartment?

Exhausting, but progressing well. A few hiccups move-day, but I survived. A good amount has been unpacked, but still some to do and still searching for the filter for my aquarium... one fish didn't make it. Gismo is adapting well, considering he's a cat and cat's aren't fond of change... well neither am I lol. At first he was purring and hissing at any moment's notice. He's calmer now and enjoying the view outside the kitchen window... set the cat tree there and it looks out to the landlord's courtyard. Trees, a mini pond, small wilderness escape... small scale but nice to look at. A skunk keeps visiting late at night so I need to close the windows :P Aunt came a few hours today to help unpack. 2 friends came Sunday (day after move), huge help. Movers came Mon to help unpack... overcharged $700... still trying to deal with that issue. Things are progressing nicely but it requires a lot of energy and I'm beyond exhausted. My eyes keep closing on me, not sleeping much for now.

I keep managing to disappear for long periods of time :( Wheat harvest is finished, husband and I are still going through things from the move. We took a vacation to Omaha last week and then went to Minnesota to help my brother fix up a house he is buying, then visited family. Back home now, and my parents are trying to pressure me into getting a job in town off the farm (complete opposite of what I want to do). I've also been trying to fix up a pen for my horse so I can move him home.

My finger is still tight, but mobility wise, its almost back to normal. I'm still careful when it comes to popping the joint, but popping it sometimes helps with the discomfort. Now I have a huge bruise on the top of my foot from getting stepped on by a calf. This just isn't my year when it comes to working with cattle.

I would be fine with doing odd jobs around the farm, like cleaning up pastures (some have lots of barbed wire laying on the ground). It would give me something to do, some money to work with and I would be home to help with anything that comes up. My parents mentioned a para position at the local high school is open, but I really don't want to be a para again, if I apply for the position, I'd probably only do part time. I moved out of town to get rid of stress and work with cattle, not return to working in town. Its a conversation I need to have with my parents, and hopefully remain civil and level-headed. I just registered for a beef cattle reproduction workshop that's in August. It was costly but hopefully its worth it.

So....I never got anything entered in the fair :( I was still in Minnesota the day the entries had to be entered. I had photographs picked out, but I didn't have them printed or in frames. I'll be prepared for next year, I guess.

I'm fine with spiders that stay outside, or catch other insects with their web. The spiders we have in our basement are possibly brown recluses, so I kill them as soon as I see them. A couple nights ago I killed a big one that was half way up the wall and looked ready to pounce. Then I used about 5 or 6 tissues to wipe him off the wall.

I hope you have been well and that the summer weather has treated you well.

I honestly don't remember where I saw/heard about the grape juice stopping headaches. Its never worked for me. I take excedrin if the migraine is really bad, then I go to a dark room. I had a migraine earlier this week during my vacation, which sucked because my husband was watching tv and the blinds didn't block out enough light. Hubby eventually got me water, which helped, but sleeping was hard.

I don't really like wine, its too bitter for my taste, grape juice seems bitter to me too, now. I've had wine that I liked, but I couldn't tell you anything specific about it, had it at the in-laws house, I think my mother-in-law is picky about wine too.

I don't snack on grapes very often, I don't like the chewiness of the skin (I have this texture issue with foods). I prefer red grapes, my husband prefers green grapes and he also likes them frozen. My mom sometimes has a bowl of grapes sitting out for snacking on, I'll eat one or two every now and then.

Still working on organizing the room and all the stuff we want to keep out of storage. Also need to start working on cleaning up and rebuilding a pen for my horse. Hubby wasn't feeling well yesterday and today we spent 2+ hours reorganizing the storage box so that furniture from my grandma's house can go in it.

Good to hear that you are moved in to the new apartment. Boo to being overcharged and unpacking, but having help from friends and family is always nice.

still unpacking but starting to feel more like my place. Worked on the fish tank today... finally found filter! Converting china cabinet to hold aquarium and sound system. Partially done but still more to do, another day.

Hope voicing your concerns regarding the job/farm goes well with the parents. take care :)

Texture is the same reason I don't like the crisp feel of biting into an apple. It unnerves me because of the bunch of watery grit scratching my teeth and gums. Juice and cider are great. My mother prefers to peel the skin of plums, grapes and apples before she has them. I can have them with the skin, I just don't enjoy the fruits as much. Frozen is great, it's popular during this season and pineapple chunks are amazing.

The buttons in the Arctic Frost are gone. For a couple days they had buttons to click instead of links but now the links are back. I liked the buttons better. Ugh next holiday not until mid September.

There was an issue with the buttons/setting alerts, so they changed it back for now. I think it's something that they're working on to put back later this week though ~

That's what I figured because the alert didn't seem to work the 1st day but the 2nd day it was working fine. Hope they put the buttons back. :)

Unlocked Are You Not Entertained?!! Squash bugs in Bug Guy Joe's game (cumulative). Finally!! I hate that game so much, but I really needed that ugly sticker lol.

Glad you are getting settled into your new home :D

Today is your bday? Where is your little cake?

Eventually it'll feel homier; right now it's more trying to deal with issues. The local food bank has gone on summer holiday & isn't serving people until late Sept :o Other places are a headache to get help so in tears called my old one and they'll help me out while for the next months. I get people need vacation time but why can't they have others cover? People need to eat all year round! My previous landlord is being a royal pain to pay the remaining amount so it's causing unnecessary frustration & issues.

Oh that is not good at all :( They should always be available to help people! I wish I lived near you. Do you have any kind of meals on wheels program?

Hopefully they will fix that. I rely on those cakes. I try to check bdays everyday, but I usually forget.

Happy Bday!!!

I wish there was a way to give up on the bug catching and start over like there is with quests. She's been asking me for the same stupid bug for 3 days now and there's no way to "quit".

I was under the impression you were a really fun and much older person. Oops :) Hey~ Belated Birthday wishes, hope you had a great one! 🍰

That's odd, they seem to have made Bug Catching easier. I've noticed as a multiple tab user that before, a bug on a previous page would become an error if a more recent page would load a new one -- now any opened would work as long as you click for the first copy. Have you tried the fixed ".floating item" bordered code or sending in a ticket?

Naw, it's not worth it. I already had all the bugs from last year so was just selling these. So no big deal.
