Oooh I need to figure out an HA too :D

Alegarten has started but only open for 6 days. I'm glad it will be moving to summer since it means there will be something to do in the summer besides bug catching. I just wish Morostide would start on Oct 1 like I think it used to. Except I was hoping for some pretty new clothes. So far don't see anything new.

It's always been for only 6 days or so, it's not a long event.

I'm excited for it moving to the summer as well though, it will be nice to have something there and a bigger break between other things.

And I don't think Morostide really needs to start that much earlier, it gives us a break between anniversary/Keel Hauliday.

I liked when Morostide started October 1, gave more time to do stuff. But this year I have the 2nd week of October off and Morostide will be starting right when I have to go back to work. Darn. :( I also was disappointed that last Morostide I never got the zapper skin that I wanted, which is another reason it would be nice to get more time.

I can do mystery, vampires, police thrillers, etc. I have a tougher time with decapitation, especially animals or animals with blood or things related to the movie Pet Cemetary (saw it when I was a kid... was told it wasn't scary, over 2 weeks of nightmares & still uncomfortable). I can do images of ghosts, but not horror hauntings (freaks me out & gives nightmares). Casper the Ghost is fun/adorable :D

I rarely drink alcohol & if it's beer, it has to be good quality stuff that I like, German beer often can be enjoyable, microbrewery beer, Heineken mmm with some delicious fancy german sausage & spatzels yep yep. Parents lived 5 years in Germany before I was born, so we do have a bit of their foods once in a while... and I LOVE potatoes, which is a big part of their culture ;)

yeah I am not a big fan of beer either lol!

(sorry missed this earlier) Trying different techniques when stuck with a particular battle challenger is excellent advice, thank you. In this particular case, however, I was stretching so far that all of those things had already been tried. I did a search of every single weapon in the SubetaLodge database that blocked either dark (including the which I put in my armory - but it's only about half the block I needed and also sem-breakable) or light at Level 8 or below (was trying to fight Rita with a T8) and could only use one single weapon because I already needed either the or the to block enough physical plus the other icon (light or dark). Needed to block all three (physical, light and dark) in order to survive long enough to win five times. Finally wound up getting the five wins using by using both shields (problem there being neither one had an attack except for a single mod) plus potions, pylonics, shards and some of the new Fireside Flames. Basically, I threw everything - including the kitchen sink and finally pulled it off. Using the that very hard battle would have been easy! Anyway, I much appreciate the sugggestions. Keep thinking creatively and you will have much success in the Battle Coliseum.

I also love potatoes. And other German foods - just not beer (and I've had beer in Heidelberg at the brewery). I"ve had so many different sorts of beer that I've just come to the conclusion that I don't like beer - any beer - period. I do like wine and other sorts of alcohol. And foods of all sorts from many countries, cultures or ethnic backgrounds. Apparently I just don't like hops. I have been know to like vodka - which is often made from potatoes.

I'm glad you were able to beat her 5 times shakes pompoms No worries for not seeing post till now. Sometimes others can give new perspective on a situation but I know you're quite more experienced than me. Glad you were able to achieve your goal ;)

And I much appreciated your suggestions. As you say, you never know when a new perspective might turn out to be the answer! With Tharg, I was mostly just having fun and trying to stretch the envelope to see if it was even possible. Very excited to find out it was - and the friend who kindly lent me the shields was then able to do the same with her T8 too, which was nice.

- after using the shield against Rita and finding out how much difference it made, I was also tempted to buy one. For what it's worth my much more experienced battle friends tell me it's not really worth having most of the time (and probably wouldn't be very helpful in BQs). If you want more or better opinions, the battlers on the Battle Chat thread are friendly, supportive and always happy to answer any battle related questions.

As far as I know, the SubetaLodge description is accurate, although I wasn't paying much attention to the small amount of healing.

It might be a flu turning into a sinus infection. If the sinuses don't clear by tomorrow morning, I'm trying to see my family doc. It can get pretty bad if I don't. I want to go back to bed but I have to be up in less than 1hr, someone is coming to help with living room.

Maliss Bopper is harder in my opinion because there's no healing or freezing. With Rita, she doesn't have any special tricks, so she's not too bad as long as you block the right icons (mostly dark and light, and some physical I think).
