Well today my tv died. We tried to looks up the part it needs and it would be the power supply but it's kinda expensive. So for the price of that my parents are just gonna buy me a new one. I hate to get a new tv because i like mine but oh well nothing i can do about it. I guess i needed a new one anyways. At least my mom had an older tv i can use for the night better then nothing.

I hate it when stuff dies! We're out of an oven right now. We got a replacement fuse, but that didn't work, soooo. New oven! After Christmas, though, b/c expensive! & we can just microwave & cooktop until then.

That's not good. But at least you can still cook using the top of it. We really need a new dishwasher but it's still kicking and it's been here since we moved here 11-12 years ago. I wish we could just fix my tv so they didn't have to buy me a new one. But they said it can just be my Christmas present from them this year.

, yup born and raised in Michigan. My family is still there. Married a Canadian while in Michigan but he eventually wanted to come back here. So here I've been ever since, for 45 years. Air pressure changes effect my daughter that way too. I'm sorry you started feeling worse again this afternoon. I pray that you're able to get a good sleep tonight and tomorrow will feel fine.

THANK YOU! I'm doing better this evening again. I conked out earlier, but I think the nap is what helped me get over the hump. What part of Michigan? I lived in the UP, Petoskey, and Battle Creek. LOVE it up there!

, That's great that you're feeling better and can enjoy the evening. You lived in a beautiful part of the state. I lived mostly in small towns in the lower Peninsula. The last place we lived was Fenton, between Flint and Detroit. It was on a small lake and very nice. I hated to leave my friends and family. But we had been going to Bruce's family once a year for 12 years so had another family we lived by for two years. That helped. We've moved a few places since then but have been in this little resort town in the mountains in British Columbia for 34 years. My daughter and son-in-law live just two blocks from us so we were able to watch their two girls grow up. Our son and family live in Manitoba. Wish they lived here too, especially because our two great grandsons are there.

Aw, cool, . I love it up there. & reallllly miss the cooler weather. Texas. Booooo. 😂

My parents did, and then left my sister and I here. 😆 It's OK here, but I hate the weather. I would much rather have 4 seasons and a summer that I can go out and enjoy instead of hiding in the air conditioned dark house. 😂 I do like living semi nearby , though. It's nice to see her in person every once in a while. ❤

, When we moved here we left out son going to university where we had lived. Of course he got work and has never lived here. He would love to but but he's happy where he is. He and his wife run a year around mission camp and wouldn't want to do anything else but would have loved to have a camp closer to us. So I see how that can happen. I really do like to have 4 seasons too. Even though I dread to see winter come because I don't like to drive in the winter, it is beautiful and the air is so fresh.

Our son and daughter-in-law lived in Texas for a while while they were going to school to learn Spanish. They had a one year old then and our first grandchild so of course we had to go there to see them. Loved visiting Padre Island and the people we met while we were there.

Padre is great! I think I'd like visiting the state more than living in it. xD My parents live in California now. I'll probably move away some day, but not until my kids are grown. ^_^

Have any of you seen the movie The Revenant? The perspective in it is so odd half the time, all fish-eyed looking. I'm only halfway through. I like it, it's interesting... but that perspective almost makes me dizzy to look at it.

, I saw previews of The Revanent. It looked really intense. Those who saw it that I talked to said it was really well done. Nobody mentioned the fish-eye looking filming. That would probably bother me too.

It's not all the time, just some of it. When they're looking around the scene or having surreal moments (which seems like a lot to me). My Hubtastic says it reminds him of Kubrick's style. I've not seen a lot by him, probably only 2001 Space Odyssey. Interesting.

I'm sorry to hear your tv died. New devices put me a little on edge (all these new functions I don't even want make using the ones I do want soooo complicated) so I can understand not being over the moon at getting a new one.
