Paddy watched two of the students leave as soon as she set foot inside the restaurant, and wondered if it was because of her. She'd been so used to the students accepting her, she'd almost forgotten was it was like at her previous school where everyone thought she was a freak because of her fur.

She headed over to the table where Magnus and Katsumi were sitting, still a bit uncertain about the reaction of the other two students. She knew it shouldn't really affect her, given that she'd never even come across them before - heck she didn't even know what House they were in. "So what kind of food do they serve here?" she asked, "I probably can't eat quite as much as you, Magnus, but I'm definitely hungry" she added with a laugh, trying to sound less awkward than she felt.

(( lol it was partly you, for 's character he was trying to play a snobby beauxbatons half veela and he found he couldnt do it...so hes going back to Beauxbatons and Snow (my new character) a little disheartened went to read for a bit. Garrett is making a new character to come back in with. huggles I love your character though. Last term he started our cult and we werent sure how much we would RP...we determined we liked it so we made proper characters, completely different from last term so :D))

Snow remembered she had to get brittle for her dah. She put away her book and headed to Honeydukes to look for it, as the lady had told her

Even if it wasn’t cold outside, somehow his hands were always void of heat. A nice hot mug of Butterbeer was just about the only thing on his mind, before trying to find his friends of course. Everyone had gotten a head start, or rather Fade was running behind as usual. Momentarily he paused by the fireplace to try and defrost his frigid fingers.

When his hands had sufficiently regained feeling he approached the bar and requested a Butterbeer from Madam Rosmerta. Unsurprisingly the bar was busy and her attention was limited. Still Fade smiled and left her a nice tip before melting back into the growing crowd. As packed as the place was, the service was always right on time.

Nikolai stepped out of the floo in Hogsmeade Village, and made his way outside into the brisk air. He was ready for a leisurely day of being a tourist, and getting a start on his Holiday shopping. He lit a cigarette and began walking, taking in some of the shops as he did, when his attention was grabbed by a beautiful girl with long white hair. That would have been enough in itself, but she was also sporting ears and a tail.

Nic tentatively sniffed in her direction, and smelled wolf. Now intrigued, he made his way toward her. He tried not to approach too eagerly, and as he got closer, the wolf scent got stronger, mixed with lavender.

He made his way up to walk next to her, and said casually " I love your scent, pretty."

She thought she saw Fade () walking past, but she didn't manage to catch his attention before he went into the Three Broomsticks. One girl with long white hair caught her eye, but it took Paddy a while to realise that it was her ears that were unusual.... given that they didn't look human. She looked away quickly, not wanting to stare, but hoping she might meet her properly later on.

(OOC: I did wonder who your characters were - that's always helpful to test them out before term starts, to make sure you're happy with RPing them :D I ended up changing Paddy's style a few times during the first term, to make her easier to RP)

(( OOC yeah, originally I started last term with a character different than the one I settled on, and I am happy to have this rp to try out a character and see if it works. Hopefully this one will :) ))

*Snow looked a bit started at the gent who popped up next to her. Her cheeks slowly went pink. She stammered out. "T-t-thank you..." then gave a small smile

Having no luck finding anyone he knew indoors, Fade bit his lip and pushed the door open to the outside. Thankfully the sun was out, but he was beginning to regret not wearing a jacket. At least the inside of his hands were warm, thanks to the hot mug of Butterbeer he was clutching.

Looking both ways he did a double take when he noticed a lady with long white hair, and were those ears? Squinting he was surprised to find she not only had ears, but also a very fluffy tail. Realizing he was staring he broke his gaze and resumed his search for a more familiar face. Having had his own bad luck with a polyjuice potion last term, he assumed she wouldn’t want any unsolicited mention of it, and what other reason would he have to strike up a conversation anyhow.

A rumbling in his stomach gave rise to a new objective. But before he could make up his mind about what sort of Mediterranean cuisine sounded best, he was distracted by a number of ornaments sparkling in the sun at a nearby stall. ()

Nik smiled "Nothing like the smell of lavender in the morning, with just a hint of wolf as the undertone...and on such a beautiful woman. I am truly blessed today." He gave her a warm but playful look, his eyes and smile giving him an impish look as his dimples revealed themselves.

Snow smiled at the Ms. Lydia "Oh thank you so much! I cant wait to see what you came up with. I swear I almost forgot to grab the brittle! Busy day and all."

Snow looked over at the gent with a bit of a stunned look on her face..her smile twitched a bit. "I dont know how to respond to that...." looks flustered

Nik grinned, and leaned in all conspiratorial like "the proper response, " he said in a hushed tone, looking around then back to her " is thank you." He straightened, and took another drag from his cigarette, looking at her with that same impish grin.

"Well...Thank you..." she gives a little smile, then looks at Lydia. "Yes of course your right...mustn't forget it!." She nods politely to the boy..."Excuse me."

() “Kitty!” Fade’s hand flew to his mouth and a bright red blush took over his already pinkish face. “Er, I mean, can I pet ‘im?” He stooped to let the cat smell his hands, no doubt scented like Chase who had been left back at the castle. The cart was even better up close, the more he looked the more the ornaments began to stand out.

Carefully Fade began to make his selections. An Owl for Gaia, a paw print for Paddy, and a butterfly for Magnus, and a fat cat ornament for Char were the easiest to choose. Above them he discovered few snow globe style ornaments that swirled and changed colors on their own for his mom and dad. And even a fearsome eastern style dragons head for Kat. “These are wonderful, do you make them all yourself?” He dug into his pocket to find his wallet.

Nik jumped when the lady called out "NUTS!" and spun around to face her. He was startled, and saw the look on her face. He chuckled quietly. "Do you have any shelled pistachios..?"

He half turned and winked at the white haired girl. "can I interest you in...sharing my nuts..?" he said, grinning again.

"of course, I will wait for your return, pretty, " he said to the girl, as he turned to the nut lady.
