Nik's grin got even wider after he got a "maybe" out of the white haired girl.

"Better make it a family size bag of nuts, so it's easier for her to get her hand in my bag, " he said to the nut lady, and chuckled. He was feeling SO wicked this morning.

Nik watched the lady go back inside the shop, and he was left nutless. For a moment he was hurt, then he just laughed and walked to where he could sit and still keep an eye on the door to the shop. He lit another cigarette, since his was finished and waited. The pretty white haired girl had to leave sometime.

Snow looked up Ms. Lydia "He was rather...forward...Ive never met anyone like that...read about them in stories..and seen movies..." Snow thought "Have you ever seen him? I dont think Ive seen him at the school.." Snow checked on her packages and went to pay for the lot. Once she saw they were good..she asked they please be sent to the castle.*

One of Snows brows raised at his comment she did not seem amused

Nik saw her "not amused" brow raise as she walked into the shop, and smiled. He liked a challenge, she was definitely worth getting to know.

As Nik waited, he wondered why it seemed she didn't appreciate his play on words. Neither did the nut lady apparently. Maybe women in the UK were a bit more prudish..? He shrugged, watching the door intently, waiting for his pretty white wolf to come out.

“Oh, brilliant!” Maybe the old man ( lol) had a keener eye than Fade thought. Color changing items were some of his favorites, even if they made him sort of self conscious for whatever dumb reason. “What do I owe you?” He couldn’t help but bend to pet the cat a bit more. “Thank’s again, I’ll tell my friends to stop by.”

Grinning from ear to ear with a carefully wrapped parcel in tow, Fade wandered toward the Las Palmas restaurant. It was fairly new and had been recommended by a number of other students and Professors. On his way he passed a person he had never seen before smoking a cigarette. () Outside the air smelled of smoke with a hint of food, but passing under the threshold the scent of wonderful morsels caused his mouth to water.

“Ah, table for one?” The inflection in his tone suggested a question. He blushed and rephrased. “Actually, I see my friends over there, I’ll join them if it’s not too much trouble.” Had it just been Magnus () and Kat () he probably would have felt awkward intruding, but was also with them and he felt less weird about ruining a possible date. Approaching he gave a small wave. “Hey guys, how goes it?”

Snow smiled at Lydia then suddenly hugged her "You remind me of my Omi, my gran..." remembering not many people are used to hearing Omi "Not to mean offense..." she smiled.

"I think I could scare him off if I had too..and I do know some interesting hexes...I particularly like the full body binding curse." Snow though that Lydia was right though...bad boys did have their allure...she did like them in her book...but if he got to be to much she would find her. "If he gets to be to sassy I will give him a good cuff." she assured her, then she turned her attention to watch the boy from the window.

she suddenly snorts "Im probably just a novelty to him anyway because Im...different." *pulling on her little "slytherin air" *

Snow hugged Lydia and watched her go, then watched the boy for a few more minutes before stepping outside. She made sure Duddits was secure in his little sling harness

Nik watched as a boy walked by and headed off toward a restaurant. He thought 'there are a lot of teens out today, I wonder if they all attend Hogwarts...'

But then he saw his pretty step out of the shop, and he casually made his way up to where he was walking next to her. "Miss me..?" he asked. "Sorry I didn't get any pistachios, they were out. I'm Nik, by the way, " he said with a smile. "What's your name..? "

Snow watched the boy walk up. "I dont know yet..." She sized up the boy "My name is Snow...I dont think Ive seen you around Hogwarts or Hogsmeade before..."

Nik was amused at her answer of 'I don't know yet'. Then he smiled "Snow..? That's a lovely name, for a lovely lady. No, it's my first time up here in Hogsmeade. You attend Hogwarts..? I will be starting at the January term...I was off most of my last term, family stuff. But I am really looking forward to attending..I hear it's warm there." He gave her another smile. "Your duck is cute, what's it's name..?"

Snow was wary but gave him a smile. "Thank you...I do attend Hogwarts, its nice. Were you at a different school before?" she asked curiously. "This is Duddits, my parents just got him for me recently." Duddits looks at him with the eyes of a guard duck

"Duddits, like from Dreamcatcher...? That's great," Nik said. "I've only recently got my first pets, a pair of cats, from the Menagerie down in Diagon Alley." He nodded, thinking about his kitties. "yes, I was attending Durmstrang..nasty place."

Snow smiled that he knew the reference "Yes! from Dream catcher...Im actually rereading the book its been way to long...You have cats? What are they like? I mean..some of the animals were bothered by me..so I couldnt interact with them as much as I would have liked too." Snow thought for a moment "You went to Durmstrang? What made you decide to transfer?"

Nik looked at Snow, a bit surprised that she was responding to him so well...maybe she didn't like guys who came on too strong..?

"Is the book good..? Never got around to reading it, just saw the movie. Love Stephen King, though."

"My cats are great, bonded pair...owner died, so they needed a home. My old black biddy, she's 11, her name is Kiki, and she is the softest thing I swear I have ever felt...a coat like rabbit fur. Lap kitty, affectionate, always wants me to pet her. Murdock, Murdy for short, big old himmie, um..a lilac lynx point, they said, he's 6 1/2..playful guy..plays with everything, and a big old mush when it comes to snuggles. I've had them about a month now, love them to death."

Nik paused to light a smoke, and looked down, thoughtfully. "My dad died, and my mom moved us back to the Uk to live with my grandparents. She went to Hogwarts and wanted to send me there. So, here I am, he said, looking up with a smile.

Magnus waved at Paddy and Fade. "'Ey guys," he said brightly. To the waiter, "Very interested in the tacos, cos they sound weird. Not sure whatelse ya got, this er, type o' food ain't familiar to me. Would like an orange juice for sure though."
