I (not so recently) adopted Vonn and Fynch, who are now a reborn and storm respectively. Vonn is to be either royalty or a royal guard, and Fynch is a sailor and are both characters in this AU i've been building.

Today, I snagged Ismael from a leaving user and I'm stoked to create a cool character, maybe a companion to my musician duo Warble & Bleat.

I've been inspired the Gourd Witch morostide lore so I'm working on making a character pet based on the whole idea of it. I spent ages picking a good gourd name and found Pattypan Squash which are a type of small gourd :3

Settled on a character for McKinnon. Originally wanted him to make a fanpet for the actor Ray McKinnon but went with an OC instead. Always wanted to have a double bass player in an orchestra.

Well, I've gone from having like 60 pets and feeling overwhelmed to filling up my 83 slots. ARGH. That being said, the new names are:

Lettuce, a sweetheart kanis (adopted from ) Flaxseed and Butterbur were also adopted from another user as a pair (the user thought they'd fit in my pet stories quite well and while this was unconventional I totally agreed!) I adopted Piedmont from and I sent her a pet of mine that wasn't working out for me.

My friend sent me Peaches and Honey, much to my delight.

Then I found Cher in the pound. I also adopted a pet from the pound to do some testing work with and realised it had my birthday, so I kept it and renamed it to Fren. I saw a pet in the pound called .:Henbane:. or something, and wondered how my old pet Henbane was doing (I had adopted her out years ago) - I realised she was on an inactive account so I recreated the name Henbane for myself.

I created Roobarb because Rhubarb was unavailable, although I'm not sure if I like the spelling enough to keep. I created Watership because Watership Down is my favourite book and I've had a tribute pet before (Frith) but the author, Richard Adams, died in the last year so I wanted one again.

Uhh, there's also Snowdon and Nevis, my little pet mountain escalades. Got those because I had intended to climb Ben Nevis this year and had already climbed mount Snowdown - but the weather was bad so my Ben Nevis trip has been put off.

Then in the last week or so I've created Jolly, Taffeta and Tiptoes as the names were free/just cleared and I just loved them :)

SO MANY PETS. OVERWHELMED. SOMEBODY TAKE THEM FROM ME. (Except not the ones I like sry)

I got the name Innocent in an account clearing a couple days ago! I was super nervous I wouldn't get the name since I wasn't home when it cleared. Thankfully it was still available, so it was meant to be! It'll fit the depth of my character a lot more than her old name, and I'm hoping I'll get time soon to work on her profile.

I've been sitting on an overlay forever, and finally found a good name for a chibi mallarchy. Meet Quacky!

I've let a few go for several reasons (ranging from realising they just didn't fit me anymore to realising that I'm not keeping up with them like I should & they belong with the people I originally got them from to being asked nicely & adopting them out because of that). I've in turn gotten a couple new pets recently since my last post & a handful of renames in the shuffle as well.

[spoiler=]Confetti is thanks to a group effort from several friends! to replace a pet & name that wasn't really jiving with the concept I wanted (which mostly amounts to party & noise themed stuff but is a bit more than that, as well as the concept of upcycling to make said party-themed things). Gonna be an angelic velosotor but with a vibrant palette loosely inspired by the Fruit Salad battle opponent.

Recycle is thanks to pointing out the name was free. It was completely impulse but I just couldn't pass up the idea of splitting up the combined TC items & concepts I had for Confetti & making the two into buddies. So now there's a cute mechanical bug made of upcycled parts to help with party things. C: A sort of reminder to myself about friendship, I guess.

I know I mentioned this last time but I'm still excited because I finally have more worked out for Auspex. Got them because of the Yaherra introduction (when it was announced for the voting I quietly looked for names & had this waiting for me & when it won I was so happy!) Still gonna do something related to Omen Islands &... well, omens! Ha ha bird & omen puns. But I'm all excited because now I know I want to make the palette vibrant (& actually BE a vibrant pet as opposed to an overlay) & based loosely off the Fruit Punch battle opponent, to be matchy matchy with Confetti.

Gullet is finally home--my Mudkip evo line tribute. Gonna be shiny!

Considering I wasn't planning on changing any of my pets, I've been busy the past month or two with names!

Picked up Faint, Bosworth and Maynard from the pound. Faint and Bosworth were both name swapped onto older pets of mine, Maynard became a nightmare yaherra after about two hours of debating whether I needed one or not.

I grabbed Mikaela and Alana from clearings, and again swapped the names onto existing pets. Not 100% sure about Alana though, tbh.

Finally, I adopted Martine from another very kind user, which is quite funny because I missed the name to them when it cleared last year.

Those are great names, congrats ^^

I've been working on Oliva TC, story and layout, got the name a few weeks ago, it wasn't taken yet.

Got the name Malaria a while ago from an inactive account.

Then, an awesome user let me adopt Cannibalism and I already got him some TC items and a temporary profile~

My newest little bugger is Issei, who's turning out to be a very personal pet already. I adopted him under a different name, then found a pet named Issei in the pound; the other pet was great, birthday & everything, and I abandoned not-Issei, only to re-adopt him ten minutes later because I'd grown attached to that specific bundle of pixels. A name change later, and here he is~ ❤️

Now I've just got to figure out what colour/species to make him because I seriously have no idea :')

I found Hou floating around in the pound, which happens to be a name I used to go by (and which is still very dear to me), so I just sort of automatically scooped them up. I'm tempted to make them a sort of vessle through which to express my current journey of self-discovery or something, I don't know. Might just make a character out of them as well.

Either way I just turned them into a chibi fester, and I feel quite content just looking at them ❤️ Next up - genderless berry! "orz ~

I fucking can't believe that I found Ibis in the pound just now. I'm sobbing and screaming internally because I've been wanting that name ever since I watched American Gods (half way through the book as well). Mr. Ibis is one of my fav along with Mr. Jacquel. I was using Mourner for the fan pet for them both, but now, I guess I can have a proper fan pet using his actual canon name in the show/book. I'm sooooooooooooooooooo happy. Thank you whoever pounded Ibis. You just made my day!!!!!!!!!!!!!

While I was checking out adopt threads I saw someone had Price up for adoption so on a whim I searched Vincent Price and lo and behold, inactive account! :D Also realized Asa Vajda wasn't taken! :D I'm surprised there aren't more classic horror fans on here but hey, on the other hand I'm kinda grateful there aren't LOL. I guess part of me must still be in full on Halloween mode with all these great horror names XD.

She always wanted to be a surgeon, but with her priggle quills she was as likely to hurt someone on an operating table than help them. She ended up a phone operator, and hated it... until one day she found herself saving a life in the course of a job that had previously always seemed a let-down.

I've been in love with the series Outlander, so I was so ecstatic when I grabbed Claire Fraser~ Been scouring for items to fill her TC with while I work on her profile! I forgot how to code ;~;

I recently adopted Marrah and turned her from an aqua Yaherra into a nightmare Kumos :) I have a werewolf-type story for her in mind, but uhh...I don't have anything down for my other pets yet, so it'll have to wait!

Not thaaat recently, but I made a pet called Xae and now can't decide wether to turn it into bloodred or nightmare. The species is Yaherra.

My newest pet would be Seht. It's another name for the mysterious 3rd member of the Tribunal, Sotha Sil. I'm going to have fun with this one but he'll have to wait until after I get the other ES pets worked on.

I came across this low id in the pound and after a name change we have Florial! He's going to be my autumn dragon :) I'm really hoping the mahar will get a harvest color for fireside this year :)
