White body and feathers, with markings in red, gray and black. (Gray horns.) And with the scales on him, much like the example experiment you have in your examples, could his "scales" be a gradient of shades of light gray/ white? If possible, could you also remove the eyes on his tail and turn them into spots? Feel free to have a little fun with his design, if you think something looks better. :)

Love it! I put it in his profile and gave you credit! And now I dang curious of what the underbelly color would be a little bit lighter like we tried in the beginning, just without the recoloring of the other part. hi! i worked on a couple different versions, trying to remain faithful to the design of the peacock:

if there's anything you need changed or you want me to combine the two versions in any way please let me know! i can also provide different sizes of the image if you want them bigger for your pet profile. :) i was worried the first one might have too much gray so i tried black scales (because there's not much black in the rest of the design) and red horns. here's also one with gray scales and black horns: (sorry for editing this post 30 times, i made it early in the morning and messed up my details...)

yes, exactly :) at least the fur color and the eyes, the markings are many, so I totally understand if thats too much! And as Matatabi is the two-tailed demon, a second tail would be very appreciated c:

i gave two versions a shot... please let me know if you want any tweaks :) the sand is from the Desert Sand item from the wardrobe.

Oh my goodness! Both are soooo cute!! The only things I can think of regard the right version.

Maybe the sand on the head should be more grainy vs. rocky, if that's possible? I feel like that could look more natural. But since you got it from the wardrobe, that's fine. :)

And maybe more seaweed and glowing angler fish-esque antennae (like in the original hydrus design).

Either way, you did a superb job!
