nope, never owned a cat before, only a dog I was thinking of getting a cat after my dog passed away buuuuut I haven't been fully convinced yet D: I want fluffy cuddle times and idk if a cat will provide that for me as much as a dog but I wanna be convinced otherwise! :3

I was also a dog >> cats person but then I found my first cat under a snack bar on my college campus. She's so cute! ❤

It depends on the personality, really. Cats demonstrate love in a different way than dogs, but even the most independent cats I know really do show affection towards their owners.

And some cats are really dog-like. I recently adopted this one and she's the cutest. She only sleeps on top of me and likes liking my face like a dog aaaall the time.

Yeah. Unlike the dogs tongue, the cat's are VERY rough so it does a very nice exfoliation job!! HAHAHAHAHAH ;3;

I understand your feel. But if you adopt an adult cat, for an example, you'll know how his/her personality is and there's a LOT of sweet cats out there. You should consider that.

Adopting an adult is always better than getting a kitten because you already know how the cat personality is. We own three cats here, all were adopted adult (around 2 years old) and well... No surprises, really.

Two of them are very sweet like dogs. Sleep with us on bed all night. Follows us around the house all day. Loves pats.

The other one is..... problematic. She slept for the first time on my bed after two years of being adopted. She's hard in a lot of senses that I don't even want to tell because I want you to give it a try and have your own cat. LOL

But anyway, she's (a jerk) the biggest love of my life.
