well, I pretty much only offer unlimited things for a limited time (which i'm sure seems contradictory) - mainly because I don't like having items sitting in my shop without any interest, since it also lowers their demand and value + ultimately ends up in the pawn shop (which isn't really much of an issue now, but I don't want people to lose money over them either). i'm completely fine with more batches being optional though, just so long as they aren't sitting in my shop and there is a demand for them to fill at least n_n

the taco jeans are probably my favorite commission of all the things I've gotten! I've gotten some interesting ones to release, but I'm not sure how well they'll be received so I've got my fingers crossed! ;3

also true! but if there are barely any copies sold, that in turn makes them rare when they retire... I don't want them to be unobtainable for new users down the line, either.

I think I've maybe grabbed all of the monthly releases so far, but I'm crazy LOL. I do enjoy them 'cause it's less stressful not worrying about missing a slot [only worrying about forgetting to grab before retired! =P]

Slotting for things is still nice though. I know things being unlimited or in shops, even if it is for a limited time, make users hesitant to buy. I guess what I'm saying is that doing both is nice, and you should stick to whatever you feel works best for you~ <3

Yeah, that's definitely understandable! It might not be as much of an issue now with user shops too, they seem like they'll be easier to maintain than trades that are constantly expiring.

perhaps I should just offer a certain number of copies instead of leaving things unlimited. I could certainly try that! it wouldn't hurt anything if I did, haha.

I do like giving people extra time to buy copies, though, because I know sometimes releases can get overwhelming when everything is all being released at once or close together!

Yeah. I'm kind of sad that I missed all the awesome previous plunge colors and no one sells them ever D: But I like that I can get at least some without having to worry about fighting for a slot. That's why both. xD I like both options.

Yeah, that's true. I love the new shops feature. It's really convenient being able to just price things in my shop and only needing to change if I haggle with someone or end up doing a trade instead of selling outright.

I'm sure it's just a matter of time - there are quite a lot of colors on site at this point. lol I think I have 4 more colors I've already paid for but I feel the age of plunge tresses is drawing to a close. I'm running out of recolor ideas anyway but I might get 2 more just so I have a nice round number of colors on site...

no worries!! xD I find I don't use black much myself. and I almost never use white so I get what you're saying. all the copies left are actually unclaimed im just lazy about unlocking things

Personally, I like seeing the monthly unlimited releases. I haven't bought either of this month's because they aren't colours that I use (though I am thinking about the mojito)

Though looking at your shop again, do you happen to have a spare of the Aphrodite Plunge Tresses please or are they all spoken for?

I love the color of both the plunge and the huntress wig, but I can't work the styles, or I had bought both.

I like the idea of monthly (or otherwise timed) unlimited releases personally. Just I have a feeling that you will generally sell less that way. The psychological effect is: "oh it's unlimited for a month, I can get it at the end of the month/sometime later" I guess the thought differs from user to user, but in general that's the feel I have.

An idea would be to offer tbd batches (with dts option for your safety ^^) and tell people that they will be able to slot for X time until the item will be gone forever. With all unfilled batched going to the CS with invitations. That may help a bit, because people actually see how many copies are already claimed. That way you'll maybe get that one more slot claimed to fill a batch here and there.

I love this idea. I didn't get anything from this month's unlimited release just because its not colors I would use often, but I love the idea of an unlimited release. is obsessed with plunges :D I got last month's releases I think. I mean if you wanted you probably could do it like unlimited for a shorter period of time like 24 hours or 1 week rather than a whole month but the whole month does give everyone a chance to pick it up when they have the funds.

I understand that! They are some odd colors for sure. That could be the reason for less interest n_n And I have slots left for the aphrodite, will send you an invite!

perhaps I'll try something other than hair and see how it goes. :p or a different style of hairs maybe. I have way too many options sadly. I dont really like advertising batches tbd for releases because that doesnt really garner anymore slots either :P i'd rather just put it in shop and save time though I could certainly list a batch limit with an option to DTS if it doesnt fill (which I already do now so no difference)

I've been considering doing the 24hrs unlimited or a week - probably timing it with the bonus weekend so people are more likely to have csc.

Yeah. I think for the most part people will buy it like first week something is on site or released, so having it a whole month really doesn't make much difference, but timing it around the bonus weekend probably helps since that is the higher chance that people will have CSC. And I think as long as more than 10 copies sell, it should be fluid enough that it might come back for resale for anyone who wasn't able to grab it during the release week.
