Today's been busier IRL than expected so I haven't actually gotten any writing done. However, I feel refreshed and ready to write again as soon as I get the chance. I'm planning on doing a few finishing details to the backstory stuff for the project I had been working on (don't know how long that will take) then I am going to work on writing down what I know about a couple other story ideas.

I am going to try a slightly different "starting point" method with them, just to see how it goes... That is, I intend to begin with train-of-thought, creating a character list as I go along with notes on significant details about them. Once I've hopefully got a solid start, I can switch over to my templates and start filling in the blanks.

Sounds like a good strategy! I've been struggling with my word count the last couple of days, so we'll see how tonight goes...!

- Busy isn't bad, gives your head some time to clear... I on the other hand just sat around and did nothing all day dwelling on my writing instead of actually doing it. I was supposed to write 6k today, I've written 600. OTL I've still got 3 hours left in the day, Go time!

OK NaNos. It's Holiday here in the Central Valley and I spent my weekend at the computer and got my word count up. I was blown away when I checked my word count.

I'm not done with my novel, but I at least beat the word count.

I know you can do it too, many of you are so close. Just keep plugging away.

I went to the movies this evening, so this is gonna be the first day when I haven't reached my daily word count... I only have like 2k to go, though, so I think I'll be able to finish my novel tomorrow. Yay!

- Congrats! It's not a holiday where I am, if it was I would still be working anyway though. I still haven't gotten to 30k, but I do have 25k, so that's good to know that you can still get some of the stuff for only getting halfway. I'm still going to put in my best effort to get to 50k, there's still a week left!

I just got to 50k! YESSS! I don't know if I'll continue writing for the rest of the month, the story's far from finished. But if that was the last bit of writing I'm gonna do, the last scene I wrote was definitely my favourite to write. :)

- Thanks! I will have 20k to go, but at the end of the month, hey, 30k is way better than 0, i got stories completed for 4 of my characters at least. And that's progress that I wouldn't have otherwise had.
