These are all the things we think of When we search our memories Hidden down beneath the chocolate And buried in our reveries Something that skitters, weeping, scratching Something flitting, fleeting, snapping

And perhaps in reality These are just imaginations Maybe the truth lies in the light Not in our minds complications Nothing but some tricking, treating Part of childhood this candy eating

Spirits and ghosts that walk Children and monsters that run Is it something teriffying, scary Or just a bit of the usual fun Only you in thinking, dreaming Make the truth in writing, speaking...
