Honestly, I just wanted to post that information in case you weren't aware? I'm not in charge of the status page, I'm not 'in' with the programmers, and I don't expect an update every time they open another HTML/JS file to be inspected. That being said:

If you'd like updates saying 'we looked into other things and that wasn't it', by all means ask for them? The admins are all over the place responding to threads, and you can find Keith's explanations in the admin posts page. But not posting a non-update doesn't mean they aren't working on anything, or haven't made progress. The site was almost unbearable yesterday morning or the morning before, and last night it was smooth sailing. Stuff's going on. And the status page tracks the different portions of the site that were identified as an issue and then taken care of, which makes sense. It doesn't need to be as granular or repetitive as the admin posts or their internal discussions.

Keeping the site up through errors is the staff's decision and effort to keep the site up for us. The downtime is another thoroughly professional decision - some companies will make a major change without proper planning/notification and only alert users/internal employees once the downtime is a failure instead of a choice. I work at one of those; it's not fun. Some will only give five minutes' notice, some a couple of hours. The staff is giving us days' notice and working hard to get this resolved, and Subeta is made up of a massive amount of code, running off more than one API or library.

They didn't purposely create MongoDB to overload the site with queries; it's not their product, and it's meant to be a modern piece of technology that websites can utilize in order to function well. Now they've identified that it's an issue, and are doing their best to fix it asap. I don't expect the programmers to sit in the SB explaining the problem/progress whenever someone pipes up - and that's the usefulness of the admin posts.

I get that it's frustrating, I just don't understand the assumption that nothing's being done. So I chimed in in case you didn't know about the admin posts or the problem, and in case someone else read this and was also out of the loop. If it's still unacceptable to you, I hope the issues get resolved soon enough :)

Site is so messed up right now.

Yikes today seems far worse than any other for errors.... they hit hard and linger longer...

Tried to autoprice my shop. It won't finish so then I tried to do it again and it says I can't because I can only do it once a day. Yet there are items still listed at zero and others whose prices didn't change.

Frustrating.

I thought this was fixed days ago. I just got 2 errors. Ugh!

I think it's worse today for me then it's been since this whole thing started. It took me FOREVER to get through my dailies, and I'm afraid to try to do anything important. The errors are not resolving right away for me like they were before. I don't like to complain, but I am spending less and less time here because I am just totally frustrated.

Looks like they are back again. Not as bad as before but they keep popping up along with horrendous lag.

This is very bad today. Why isn't anything being fixed? Status page hasn't been updated since October 7

quests taking much longer to do than usual considering how every couple of refreshes, it gives me a 504, which i then have to refresh a couple of times before it goes away 8/

I'm getting to the point where I spend less and less time here. No matter when I come in all I see is a constant wall of error messages that make the site unplayable. Very sorry to be the one to say this but I can't get anythings done lately :(.

So many 502s and 504s... The site's barely playable for much of the last 2 or 3 weeks for me. I find myself avoiding coming to the site which makes me sad.

This is the worst it's ever been. I can't do anything without a 502/504 error popping up every 2-3 minutes. Incredibly frustrating.

Commiserating with everyone on here. Had a rough day and just want to zone out with subeta, but the time outs and errors and inability to complete tasks is making me so frustrated! I guess I'll just have to watch a movie instead 😞

Where are you? The site is getting worse day by day. We all know Keith is off somewhere so it looks like it's on your head until he gets back. Today has been the absolute worst I've ever seen, why no staff updates? This is unreal!
