oh gosh yes be super careful, wear clothing that covers your arms and legs where possible and slather good quality sunscreen over the rest of you, I like to use Banana Boat the one in a black tube or the Cancer Council one which should be easily available anywhere. A good broadbrimmed hat and/or an umbrella or sunshade work are a good idea too.
Most important thing is to re-apply every 2-4 hours, and use a teaspoon of sunscreen per limb.
