Hi! I just joined 4 days ago! What kind of myths do you like? Do you have a favorite?

Thanks for the gifts. I'm from the Netherlands, my first language is dutch. I think my english is good enough to get some sentences out, but grammar not really. Sorry about that.
I like many kind. Greek and roman, Irish. Stories of king Arthur. I am now wrestling through the Edda, it's very interesting, but not easy to read.
I like Greek myths too! And Roman ones, but I don't think I've read any originally Roman ones except for the one about Romulus and Remus. What language are you reading the Edda in? :O

Sory for the slow reply. I don't have internet at home now so i'm bound to the openingtimes of the library :(
Most roman stories are actually Greek, only with diffrent names. But they also had a few 'original' gods I read the Edda in Dutch. But it is an very old translation, with bad rhyme and a lot of words that are no longer used. And an old book, the pages crumble if you turn them too fast XD
have you read the Percy Jackson series? It's got a lot of Greek mythology in it, and Roman later in the series. :)
And haha, I can relate. I tried reading an old translation of the Ramayana, and it was sooo hard to get through. There was an excessive use of flowery language. :/

I haven't read Persy Jackson. I might maybe later, but for now there are so many other books i have to read first. I focus now on stories that I might also use for storytelling performaces. Flowery language goes with that timeperiod i gues. Ramayana, thats Indian right? I havent read it, but I do know the Mahabharata
