Plot Finished!
Q: How many plot points were possible and where can I spend them? A: There was a maximum possibility of 240 plot points, and you can spend them here. If you skipped any of the puzzles, joined a team late, and/or missed completing any of the daily activities, you missed some of the plot points. One of everything in the plot shop costs 220 points though, so don't worry if you missed some.
Plot Finished
Note: "Plot Days" are now 24 hours for the Tomb steps instead of the 48 hour ones during the trail segment.
Here is a list of frequently asked questions and answers for the Omen Island Plot that is currently going on. If you want solutions to any of the puzzles, this guide may have them :)
[spoiler=Trail] Q: What is an obstacle? A: Obstacles are "events" that pop up on the trail page and underneath the trail bar. Participating in the obstacle will fulfill one of the daily activities required for plot points. These obstacles include things that you participate in (like games) and things you have no control over (like weather). This is only valid during the trail and camp portions of the plot, once other segments of the plot begin, you will no longer be able to participate in obstacles.
Q: How often do obstacles pop up? A:
Q: The other team had x obstacle, why don’t we?? A: Both teams have their own obstacles to deal with, which means you might not be running into the same things at the same time as the other team!
Q: I saw people mention x obstacle but it is no longer there. How do I get to it? A: Obstacles can be overcome fairly quickly, so it's likely that the obstacle is completed and you will have to wait for a new obstacle to present itself. Obstacles are completed as groups and will get completed faster if more people in your group are trying to complete it at the same time.
Q: I missed an obstacle on the trail, does that mean I won’t get my 5/5 activity points? Will this count against me for this plot step? A: If you missed obstacles while on the trail, it’s okay! Once your team gets settled at base camp, you’ll have a chance to make up whatever activity points you didn’t get. If you miss doing base camp and trail completely as a plot step, then yes you will miss out on points for this particular plot step. There will be more than 5 obstacles along the way to camp though, so if you miss a few along the way, you may still be able to get to 5/5 daily activities by participating in other obstacles during the trail portion. Don't get discouraged!
Q: Can we get any sort of confirmation whether or not we will get more points if we complete more tasks beyond our 5/5 for the "plot day" or can we sit some out to let others get a chance, since they go by so quickly? (from ) A: You do not have to do more than the 5/5. You can go over it to help your team because the team that wins gets bonus points. It’s all a team effort!
Q: Food only counted once for my activity, should I keep doing it? A: It counts for your team each time you collect food, and you want to keep those numbers high to keep your energy high! It only counts as one of your personal activities once though.
Q: Does the day end at midnight or what? How much is a plot day? A: During the trail portion of the event, 1 plot day is equal to 48 hours - as you will not be able to catch up on this part later on. This is because it relies heavily on being a part of a team. Later plot steps will last less time, but you will be able to make them up without missing out on plot points.
Q: I’ve hunted for food, what do I do now? A: If there isn’t an obstacle, it means you’re moving you way forward up the path!
Q: Will obstacles show up on the quest bar on the top of pages? Or how will we know if something is going on? I want to help, but also sleep A: Yes, you should get a box that will show up above the progress bar that alerts you to an obstacle your team has come across.
Q: Do I need to keep refreshing on the trail page to see if an obstacle has shown up?
A:
This was removed because of server strain.
Q: I completed an obstacle but I didn't get a point for it. What's wrong? A: You need to complete an obstacle before it expires for it to count. Also, if you have completed the obstacle before, you will need to complete DIFFERENT obstacles in the future. For example, if your count is 3/5 and you receive a task asking for you to play a game, if one of your first three tasks was to play that same game, you won't increase your daily activity count to 4/5.
Q: How many people need to vote for the speed boost for it to activate? A: One third of the team needs to vote for the speed boost by clicking the "Speed Boost" button on the trail page for it to activate.
Q: How does the speed boost work? A: One third of the team needs to vote for the speed boost for it to get activated. Activating it will drain your food and energy supplies, but it will increase your movement speed. Once the boost activates it will run for awhile, and afterward it runs out, you can vote for it again.
To see if you voted for it, check the hover on the "Speed Boost" button (or just click it) it will say: "If at least one third of your team votes for a speed boost, food and energy will be sacrificed for a one hour boost to speed! x% of your team has voted for a boost (including you!)."
Q: Is it better to score more on x game or play it more times? A: Games are scored linearly, meaning that scoring 200 points on a single game contributes as much as scoring 100 points on two different games.
Base Camp
Jungle Chase was added to the list of things you can play to reach the 5/5 daily activities at base camp. The minimum score for that to count is 1500 points.
Q: We are at base camp now and I am at 5/5 daily activities. Do I need to do anything? A: You don't necessarily need to do anything now, just wait for the next "plot day". You can still battle or play games for fun, but nothing you will do will affect how many plot points you gain at this time. In the mean time you can donate items or play games for fun.
Q: The plot has a new step out but I am still at the camp. What can I do to move on? A: Talk the NPCs with ! symbols next to their head at base camp.
Q: How long do the donation drives last? A:
Q: What are the counters on Ether's donation page? A: They are the showing how many quests you've done, they're the same counters that appear on the individual quest giver's page.
Questions with potential spoilers
[spoiler=Trail]
Q: I already submitted my 10 scores to Matlal's Jewels, will submitting more scores still count towards helping my team? A: Yes! Even if you have already submitted 10 scores, you can still submit more scores to help get your team through the obstacle.
Q: I beat the Pacman game but nothing is happening. What is wrong and how do I fix this? A: "The game was accidentally finished without any win logic being programmed. Therefore, to end the game, you'll need to lose all of your lives. If you finish eating all of the dots, just let the ghosts kill you. Hopefully this will be remedied soon, but it may last throughout the plot! It will definitely be fixed before the game is added to the site for real. Sorry for any inconvenience!"
This has been fixed!
Q: How do you get through the vines? A:To take vines down, keep clicking the button! Do not use an autorefresher! Using one will not count. Originally there was an error that made them invulnerable but this has been fixed! There was also a bug preventing certain obstacles for counting towards your daily activities, but this was also fixed.
Q: My x fruit isn't working! What is wrong? A: First check to see if your fruit is listed here (that should be all of them) (Disclaimer - Some fruit on the list may not be currently accepted on the trail. If you encounter any of those, let me know)

Sorry for the excess of pings, but here's another useful thread for you guys.
Do you keep playing the food hunting game? Cause I have been for two hours and it is getting tedious.
[flower=Steffy]
Playing the food game helps make sure that your team doesn't run out along the way, but you don't necessarily have to play it constantly.
Can we get any sort of confirmation whether or not we will get more points if we complete more tasks beyond our 5/5 for the "plot day" or can we sit some out to let others get a chance, since they go by so quickly?
I'm working on gathering up everything we've said so far and doing this list with . :) I'll answer more things as I can
Just got home and played the hunting for food game a few times. Not my favorite type of game bleh. Going to take me a bit to catch up on what all is going on, but I am glad I am on the team trying to protect the burial site! =D Ugh, I didn't mean to post on this board, sorry :(
Thank you for the ping! :D
And thank you very much, !
are we going to have more than 4 obstacle or if we didn't take part in one of them we're already out of getting the max. plot points?
Added your question and answered it in the post as well (because left to do dinner so i’m editing the post as I go) Refer to the “I missed an obstacle” question! :) If you miss some, it’ll be fine. You’ll have a chance to make up for it
Thank you!
Last ping for a while from me, but confirmed that you DO NOT have to do more than the 5/5 tasks per day/round to get your full amount of plot points. Although completing the obstacles helps the team advance, of course.
Oh, so... it seems there's only gonna be 4 obstacles and other activities when the camp is set up
there will be more than just 4. :) Team Saggi has already had 2 or 3 I think? I'm saying that if you're not online to get your fill, it's okay! Don't stress if you can't make it on tonight because you need to be up early in the morning or whatever.
oh, alright... 2, I guess (Xotl and medicines), so did we (map pieces and Lasiri).
How can you tell what percentage your energy and food stores are at?
Is there going to be a forum created where we actually can converse with our team, or are we supposed to flood the GD forum?
What, exactly, is a "day" for the daily 5 points? A real life/Subeta day, so those of us with anything to do in real life can't get 5/5 or rely on the camp points, or a plot day, so we can get a full 5/5 with the camps but no user can get 5 points every real life/Subeta day?
