I'm hoping I understand this incorrectly but sadly I doubt it.

In order to get any points for the plot I need to complete 5 daily activities. However the activities are something I have to wait for to appear rather than come online and do the activities.

Have I understood this correctly?

So anyone, like me, who has limited internet (mine for a week) is stuffed if they can't spend hours sitting on subeta waiting for activities/obstacles to appear?!

Well my excitement for this plot just disolved :(

That's my understanding so far, unfortunately. I work full time so I'm in the same boat as you. :(

I just saw an obstacle pop up randomly just now, so I guess you just have to happen to be on the site when an obstacle pops up. =/ I'm not clear on whether you get nothing at all if you don't manage to do at least 5 tasks per day. Maybe you just don't get a bonus at the end of the day, but can still get something at the end of the event? I'm not sure. I read through the guides people put up and didn't see a specific answer to that.

I'm seriously hoping that it isn't random, because previous events haven't relied upon randomness simply because it's a bad idea-- I'm hoping that it's on some sort of timer. I saw an obstacle once already, and it didn't really explain much... by the time I did what I thought it wanted me to do, it had passed and I didn't get a point for doing anything.

Don't worry about having to be on all the time if you can't! They're making it so it's not just the people who are lucky enough to catch the obstacles quickly. ^^

And one travel day doesn't equal one 24 hour day, so we'll have plenty of time!
