I thought maybe it would otherwise interfere with their planning for Morostide or something, but I guess that is a bit far-fetched...

My two cents on the trail issues: I personally think that random (are they really "random" if it is a computer program?) things like weather obstacles should be kept out of it. I think the whole thing should be based on obstacles that we can overcome by working together as a team. With wind and monsoons all we can do is just sit back and wait. At least with the other obstacles we can do something about them. Then how quickly we move along the trail will depend only on how we work together. I think we are a pretty great team ❤ so I know we would be able to get through all of the obstacles with a lot less stress.

Wait... I'm trying to process everything. So Matlal knows english, he and his brother went to SCHOOL... And he was going BETTER THAN HIS BROTHER, even though he doesn't seemed to speak proper english so far. Okay...

I'm sure the web of secrets and lies will probably be pretty important to the rest of the plot...but I wonder how this will change all future interactions with Matlal. The next time we get Xotl something or other, is he going to bust into the announcements with caps and shoddy grammar and "pigdogs"? or... Or do we get to see the surprisingly eloquent and even kindly Matlal again, after this?

The only thing I can think of is that Keelhauliday is supposed to start next week, so maybe they have some way of planning to incorporate that into the plot. But i'm not sure.
