I am pretty sure they were going for a speed boost. In the Facebook group the members on Team Gold were rallying people to vote for one.

I just hope that gold team accepts the fix the staff did in response to the really bad glitch they experienced. It'd be sad if at the end of the day our win is treated as solely because they were glitched.

Grace's explanation was really good, and Team Steele thought they were WAY closer than they should have been. It didn't matter in the end though because we're awesome, but it could have made a difference.

We probably would've if we hadn't gone realllllly hard for the past couple hours. Obstacles were cleared insanely fast and we boosted twice I believe.

: That was the predicted time of arrival, but due to speed boosts and our general awesome teamwork, we arrived at camp earlier than anticipated.

They must have had good weather and a speed boost then since we had a speed boost and were only moving half the percentage per minute they were at the end.

It's supposed to end around 6 PM, but it can end sooner if we end up going faster like with the speed boosts and such.

I think the first one ended about about 5:20 or 5:30 or so, this one just happened to be even earlier.

I'm sure some people will blame the glitch either way >__<
I mean it sucks, but honestly...we managed to pull ahead even when they were put right behind our heels which was incredible! And we practically flew by the obstacles so if they want to blame anything...they can blame our amazing teamwork :P

I can confirm they didn't have a speed boost while we were trekking at the end. In their prosperous board they only got to 33% at 4:42. We were done at 4:31

It would be. They got it adjusted. But even if they take it poorly, we had a wind that wasn't adjusted for the first day. Winds have been nerfed quite a bit since, thankfully, but I think that's definitely what cost us the first race. Either way, 1-1 makes things interesting and good for competition!
