OMG! I love Pop! figures too!! dances I ordered myself several for Christmas. XD And my sister actually called me from the other side of the country and rattled off nine that she was buying me. Hahahaha

Homemade gifts are definitely awesome! I have a friend that bakes and she's made me a whole basket of stuff for Christmas before - it was wicked! One year I did nothing but that for gifts - I baked, made caramel covered popcorn, candies, fudge. It was a big hit but hooboy it was a lot of work! :P The paintings take much less time. XD And I actually do really simple stuff - silhouette paintings, galaxy/space - ones that are like basic basic. LOL They still turn out pretty nice though. I think anyone can be an artist! You just need to try and find the niche that you're most comfortable with. ^_^

I wish more people were comfortable with this idea. Not every artist has to draw perfectly sculpted humans. Art can be as easy as drawing a dog, over and over, in different poses. Or backgrounds! Or mediums!

Elwood is love!!

I was able to steal a pair of [item2=Professor New Magnetized Leather Hightops] off of Carl half an hour ago. So he still gives out subeautique items. Or at least, you can take them when he's napping. (:

I used to think that but one day a bad pain day had me looking up simple paintings online because my chronic pain clinic suggested art therapy. I found a slew of them. The first one I did was a beach scene. It wasn't professional by any standards, but I was pretty pleased with it - in the end someone actually bought it. lol Since then I've thought, it can't hurt to try, because no matter how bad it might turn out, you can always just wait for the paint to dry and paint over it - which I have done several times. XD Since then I've done sea glass art, paintings, and sea glass and beach stone jewelry. Again, not professional by any standards, but the more I do, the better I get at it and it makes me happy, which I think is the biggest reason to just try art - any art - because if you just relax and go with it, no matter how it turns out, the journey is one worth taking.

You can get SubQ items from Drills Quests as well, I've gotten a few just this week.

Those don't count for the quest challenge, but still give some nice prizes.

Carl still does! I think people said Maleria gave them out, too, but I don't remember getting one from her.

I don't think Maleria gives out items anymore since they adjusted the quest payout. Except for some of her exclusive items during weekend quests.

Yeah, she doesn't, except that strange day when every quest was giving out random items to help baking demands.
