Ahh I thought that gathering food not only added to food stores but pushed us along the trail. So the caravans automatically move, and we're just keeping the food and energy up for them to do so? As well as getting through the obstacles and doing the speed boost to help.

very good points, yeah. Glitch or not, we can't ignore the boosts and the benefits of having Wesley on our team and the overall good organisation of the team when it comes to the obstacles
I mean I absolutely agree that they should be moved and given some sort of a boost but I don't think they should be moved too close to us

yep, that's what I think! It's been a bit stressy - but again, I was still able to get my stuff done and prtcipate a bit more.

So that took less than 5 minutes to clear the obstacle and get our food and energy stores back up to 100%. Great job guys!

Seriously though, it takes us hardly any time at all to get our food back up from basically nothing, even when we got the speed boosts.

Our bonuses are definitely having an effect. Team Gold can be salty, but we were handling this better than them even before the glitch.

W00t 5/5 activities! Was worried the first day when we were almost at base camp and I still only had 2/5. Have we determined if the speed boost is bringing the obstacles up faster?

Awww man, got online and saw that there was a quest to gather food cus the manchus ate it all again, went to play survivor, and it didn't count towards my daily tasks. sigh I guess I JUST missed it.... again! That's the fourth one that I've seen the obstacle on the trail, but haven't been able to help out before it's over.

I'm not 100% sure, but the obstacles seem to be based on time and how far along we've progressed. So the speed boost might make them happen slightly more often if we're moving along faster.

It's not activated right now though.

It's hard not to listen to the saltiness when many of them are hoping that staff will simply trash this leg, or call it a draw. It's honestly bullshit, and insulting to every member of this team who has been active.

Seeing how fast we're getting through these things is ridiculous. With the additional good weather bonuses and speed boosts, we should've been far ahead regardless. I'm sure when staff actually fixes this, they'll bump Team Saggyballs up quite a bit, similar to what they did during the first leg. Of course, that'll be with that team having faced none of the obstacles, and our team having fought through numerous ones over the night.

They've been coming up every 20-30 minutes, just about. So you have an idea of when to check for new ones.

I agree, we're definitely doing really well. I hope staff bumps them up for the sake of fairness, but I do think we likely would have still been ahead anyway. It's crazy how fast we finish these obstacles, while even last night they were complaining about not having enough active members to finish theirs fast enough. And that was way before the glitch.

Is the average frequency of obstacles when not affected by the speed boost still about every hour or so? Or am I mixing information?

It seems to be about every 30 minutes or so, actually. It varies a bit, but that's a good estimate.

I will be BEYOND pissed if they call this leg a draw or scrap it all together. I have spent HOURS on this leg helping to rally the troops and help us move as quickly as possible to the campsite. We would likely get the win even without Team Gold being glitched, but we'll see what happens.

Yep, they have been stuck on a Rock-Paper-Scissors glitch since about 5:50am... So they haven't made any progress since then.
