We've actually taken advantage of the different phone networks! AT+T is super in the cities but out in the boonies, Verizon seems to have an advantage, and I've spotted off my friend's phone in a pinch. I've also learned the difference between 4G LTE and 3G, because it's come down to that at times too.

To be honest, I too remember those days. I grew up pre-cell phones and holy cow it's so different now. I remember my dad was one of the first with a car phone and he had this huge blocky thing with all these wires strung through the car, and that curly antenna glued to the back window...how far we've come. And yeah, how necessary it is! I mean, sure, we can definitely live without phones and internet, but so much of society is wrapped up in it now
