Question. Does "dangerous encounters" basically boil down to a high tiered battle pet?

There's a lot of eye rolling going on here in Omen for those of us who live here, and we are quite wary of Mr. Steele and his 'exploits.' Will any good come of it?
There's also much gnashing of teeth and hackles being raised about having anything to do with Sagittarius....that human is insufferable. Thank thank the Maker Calvin Blackmoon isn't mentioned...

- I wasn't about when this last happened which is why I asked, because I don't have a battle pet I don't want to sign up for a side where I'm going to basically be useless.

I would guess there will be some battling, but probably not required. Usually just some extra rewards for the battlers, but you can still move on with the event even if you don't battle.
