I would actually be very interested in Otero! The secondary meaning of his name doesn't bother me much- it wouldn't be my focus at all, mostly I just like how the name sounds.

Otero would be a companion of sorts to my pet Avel (meaning breath) who's been running around my head for a while- he takes the form of a skull-faced fox with calla lilies for ears, who symbolizes a lot of growth and change, and making the best of a poor situation. Lots of "circle of life" and "life finds a way" kind of vibes. He tends to the forest he lives in- ferrying souls and keeping the balance of life in check. I see Otero as the heartwood; "the dense inner part of a tree trunk, yielding the hardest timber." He is literally the heart of the forest, and his safety and well being is Avel's top priority. Without the heartwood the forest would die, and with him it thrives.

He takes the form of a strong summer stag, and though the world around him is slave to the seasons, his glen within the forest is locked perpetually in the final days of summer- warm but not hot, with a bounty of food ready for the harvest. The forest denizens look up to him as a sort of god among men, but not as a deity. He simply is what he is.

As for ideas, I'd love to make otero into an 80s horror themed pet what with the name. Maybe throw in a lot of classic horror tropes and nods. Thinking of lots of ideas as I go and debating possible designs now c:

hi ;u; after some thinking i'd be interested in selaphiel. i'd basically just replace armory with him. i had this angel concept (with some other art you can see here) that was going to make more into a 'warrior angel' type thing. but after starting to work on the tc - which i always do first before anything else - i decided i wanted to take it in a different direction and the name armory just didn't fit anymore.

i've already made a start on the tc which you can see on armory atm. going for a saheric ethereal vibe. also have some stuff wishlisted to et eventually.

i don't really have anything story-based yet. i usually do treasures and aesthetics first and garner ideas from them. that being said i DO only have two .. completed pets (both of which have won spotlight though!) and all the others have been started on - mostly via treasure chests since they're my favourite part.
