Food from Quests

Last night the wiz gave me food on all but one quest. tonight he gave me nothing but tokens. Is this how it is supposed to be?
I'd like to personally thank Q for all the Baking Powder from last night's quests, lol.

I think so too. Just finished all my quest for the day, and other than realizing Cinthia gave me more sp then Maleria, no food or baking items went out, it seems quests are back to normal?

Haven't received any of the items either from the quests I did so far, and the prices are starting to get really high. :I
Edit: I might just be missing a potential task I haven't gotten yet/haven't seen mentioned, but I'm not sure I see the point of giving out random food? It's not harmful, it's just.. random. Any kind of food turn in/feed your pet is pretty easily covered by the RSing shops (unless I've just missed them being empty vs. their usual filled to the gills).
More baking items than just powder and/or some of the inflated spell ingredients (though on the whole they're not that bad yet) would seem to make more sense.
Again, not harmful - just a bit odd.
I don't disagree, but in the meantime there are level 1-2 recipes that do use the wooden mortar and pestle over those vials.
The mortar and pestle will probably go up, but it has a lot further to go.
Wow, so glad I had a lot of stuff stashed away, prices are getting insane :o

Got baking powder but not any more of the VERY expensive foods yesterday to make even level 1. Also I must be doing something wrong. When I do finally get all the ingredients and click to make it I get a message from Fantine that I don't have the ingredients... :/
Today no backing powder given out nor any food.

You have to select the ingredients from the drop down under each item. I did the same thing.
