Frieda is exactly right!! 1000% right. Thanks, hun.

Hamda, I'm trying to work in your diagram fitting into the story thread. Could you add a little more to it, or, if it's OOC, maybe say that?

ok! with the shishin I left it open, I was worried about being too specific but if it's acceptable then WOHOO!!!! :D

will do. I based the interaction between the elements on the yin yang principle of the elements. who works better with whom, who takes from whom. that sort of thing.

I'll write up an OOC for it right now

YES. She would have them all dancing and singing songs about cupcakes and who knows what. It's a pity that Terrena and I can't stuff her in our bags as our secret weapon. LOL!

headdesk er...headmaze. Let's hope you recover in time before we get these Gumi out of there for you.

hugs I'd love a real one before this test. I feel I'm ready for it, but I can also feel my body going into stress mode.

This may help get you started with wines. Also look at the alcohol content on the bottle. Lower numbers are sweeter and higher numbers are dryer. I did have a good port from a local winery and ended up drinking the whole bottle by myself hehe.

http://winefolly.com/wine-basics-beginners-guide/

For red wines I like Malbecs, Chiantis, and Cabernets. Whites, I like Chardonney, and sweet wines, Riesling and Moscato. The last two I have to be careful with since sometimes they can be overally sweet and I'm not a fan of overally sweet wine

That would be interesting to see. Tea stuffed in a bag, only to come out at the last minute LOL

: Which image are you having that problem with? I've uploaded several this week. I can go back and re-upload them if necessary

: Thank you for the good wine advice. I've had some Ficklin 1988 port that was given to Welly and I for our wedding by a friend. It was made here in Central California and it was absolutely wonderful. I would love to have more of that, but it is very expensive. Thank you for sharing that website with me, I would like to learn more about wine since California makes a lot of it.

A real hug would go a long way to help relieve stress. Good luck!

: ( grin ) Yay! 1000%! I love this game. ( eats cookies )

You're welcome :) It seems the website is a good starting place and I'm probably going to use it since I want to have a wine and cheese/meat party eventually.

Well, it seemed I didn't do as good as I thought on the test, but the professor drops the lowest grade. Just have to push myself a bit more with these last two tests.

LOL, that'll be a fun story to read :)

: I re-posted the picture and gave the headings the appropriate euphemisms...I'm wondering if your Internet Provider or your country's version of Imgur has a 'noodity' filter on it, despite the fact that all nekkid Subeta HAs are strictly generic, like Barbie and Ken dolls are.

: Oh wow, a wine, cheese ( nom ) and MEAT ( omm nom nom ) party! Sounds like my kind of party indeed. Kind of like a Meatup. ( hur hur ) You know, Meetup...get together with friends...Meatup...I'm just going to stop right now...

I'm sorry to hear about your test results. Test taking for many is a very stressful enterprise. I wonder if there is assistance available to students that can teach test-taking strategies.

Imgur is good, but sometimes it goofs up addresses. So does predictive text on computers when trying to type our internet addresses. I hope this helps (hugs and cookies)

HAHA, awesome play on words....meatup :P

I know they teach that for incoming freshman in college, but I've been through that and should know how to study and take test by now. I think this part of the class was the hardest and surely I couldn't be the only one who didn't do as well as they liked.

Those googly eyes are awesome in that link.

I'm taking Geology 0.o I like the class, the professor, and the way he teaches. For some reason I couldn't get my mind around the material this time around. We're starting on the geology part tomorrow, rocks and stuff like that.

: Ooh...I like geology. My author's grandfather was a geologist who specialized in finding gemstones. He found a lot of turquoise, California Jade, tormaline, and sapphire. He also owned a fire-opal mine in Mexico. I know a little about gold mining from my book research, and seismology just from living in Shaky-State. You go girl!

: Yes, those silly animal paintings with the googly eyes, are at any Imgur page where the image posted by a user has been deleted. The address http://i.imgur.com/hLhTKmate.png is a good example. Make sure to mouse over the eyes in the pictures.

: Plum wine? That sounds interesting. I got to taste a pomegranate wine, a blackberry wine, and a fig wine once, all from a specialty winery called Monterey Wines. They were all sweet fortified wines (18 to 24% alcohol content ), all very expensive and were for dessert. I also got to taste some Muscato that was made here in California. It was sweet too, though not as sweet as the pomegranate and not as potent. I liked the pomegranate wine and the blackberry wine. The fig wine was rather shocking because it was like drinking a rancid fig newton soaked in kerosene. I'm glad they were only tastes, I cannot imagine buying whole bottles of that.

Drunk cake? My cousin Ted makes drunk cake. He takes pound cake that has dried up a little and pours rum over it and lets it soak in for a day, then heavily sugars it with confectioners sugar so that it makes this great candy crust. You can get a buzz off this cake for sure.

: My author has all kinds of stories about his grandfather, who was a very complex and odd sort of man.

LONG STORY The one I remember hearing regarding geology involved the rebuilding of Highway 101 after it was washed away in the Christmas Flood of 1964 near Fortuna, California. The Highway Department decided to take the opportunity to widen the highway into a four-lane as long as they had to re-cut the road through the Eel River Gorge.

After the blasting was done and they were bulldozing, their work was impeded by a massive round boulder that was too heavy for the equipment they had on scene. Grandfather happened to be driving through the area and was curious about this perfectly round mud covered boulder off to the side of the road, so he got out of his pickup and inspected it. He immediately told the foreman of the road crew not to attempt to move the boulder and he paid the foreman $100 to leave it right where it was until he got back that afternoon.

He returned two hours later with two semi-truck tow trucks and used the tow-slings to lift the boulder between the two tow trucks and they were able to carry that boulder 25 miles from the road construction site back to his house in Fortuna. One tow truck was made to drive forward normal like, the other was made to drive backward, the boulder suspended between them. Grandfather paid the drivers each $1000 cash ( 1964 money) and sent them on their way.

The boulder turned out to be very high grade California Jade and after he was able to cut it down to workable slabs ( he had a rock shop ) he was able to sell the jade for nearly 2.5 million dollars total to the jade market. Pieces of that boulder were shipped all over the world.

However, because Grandpa was a little eccentric, he never deposited the money in just one bank, he opened new accounts all over California whenever he received a payment for a delivery, so when he passed away, his wife never knew where all the money was. My author's father was able to recover most of the money from over 40 banks, but estimates that there are still dead accounts out there with tens of thousands of dollars tied up in them. So, you see, it's like finding buried treasure and leaving behind buried treasure.
