- There are actually multiple reasons for this, but the biggest is it's just something we want to leave the hands of our official artists at this time. The facial features can require a lot of finesse - and it's not that we think CW artists aren't capable of them (many are)! But they are a lot more particular when it comes to placement than a lot of other items can be. We do not currently have any plans to make this available in the future, but I would never say never! It's just not in the cards any time soon :)

[edit] Wanted to add one thing -- yes I know a lot of you are interested in this sort of thing! Don't worry. But I'm going to ask that before you ask this question over and over in here, just refer to this post :) Thank you!

Just like official Subeta items, these can't be 'color-base' changeable. If you want them to match multiple skintones, they would have to be submitted as separate recolors.

Okay everyone! I just got home from my regular job so let me catch up a bit here :)

To... the multiple people that have asked about separate items because there's a lot of you to ping: basically took care of the answer (thank you!) and even the ones that exist as transformable are STILL individual items - hence why I said "like official items". We will not be looking into transformable CWs. They will have to be submitted as separate items for each skin tone, just as ears have been up until now. The process it would have to go through would be extensive and involve a lot of programming - and we would have to charge a substantial amount to make it work. The absolute final word in this is they will have to be submitted as individual recolors.

:

  1. Create a hairstyle that covers and redraws the ears further back, because they're so close to the face that it frustrates me when I want short hair with sideburns • Hm. This is a bit weird, but I don't see why not --- as long as it actually looks okay. Remember that our HAs are supposed to have chibi proportions, so giving them ears stuck in the middle of hair won't necessarily work.
  2. Create a shirt that makes the avatar chubbier around the middle, to fit my OC (this was specifically turned down before, but I figure I'll ask again now) • This would be fine now :)

Question 1/2: A lot of this is going to end up being trial-and-error in a way, since it's new to us :) I would say these are some generally good guidelines to follow, though!:

  1. If the overlay is something that takes up several layers OR involves several pieces of clothing (ie your example -- undershirt, jacket, gloves, swords) that's going to be too much
  2. If the overlay is something that looks like one of our hella old-school costume trunks, this will also be no go! We do NOT want to be creating an entire outfit for the HA that takes over the entire thing just so a few limbs could be moved (so your second example wouldn't work. You could maybe look at doing a skirt with the legs and a top with the arms, but not one piece that just covers the entire HA)
  3. You should be looking to basically move ONE body part per CW. So. Arms in one. Legs in another. Not arms and legs in one. This is going to be a generally good rule of thumb.

Question 3: See my answer above re: proportions! They are supposed to be chibi. If you want to attempt to make an overlay with longer legs/waist, you can certainly go for it, but if it looks really weird on the rest of the HA it's not going to be accepted.

Yes! Things like gills would be absolutely acceptable.

I'd say yes, eyebrows could be included in other facial makeups, so like eyeshadows and eyebrows. Remember this does have the chance to make them less versatile (there are still a lot of eyes that have their own eyebrows) AND it would have to work on existing base eyes, as current eyeshadow etc does :) Still no eyeshadow + eyebrows + FULLbody blush though. For your other question, see above!

Also someone - I forget who, sorry!! made a comment about being excited about moving arms but not legs. You CAN move legs!

(obligatory "Of course everything is judged separately and none of these comments count as pre-approval for any items" goes here!)

- Yes!

- I think it's something we're really just going to have to look at on a case-by-case basis. Really overall, little accessories like that should fit the overall HA base -- especially because they're going to look really weird upon submission. But we can cross that bridge when we come to it!

(NOTE -- I am heading to bed now and work a 13-hour-day tomorrow at the vet clinic, so I will be very slow to answer pings for a bit! Please know I'll continue to read through all your comments and answer questions as best I can!)
