That's super cute! I'm really worried you might not have enough changes though? All I can see is the fin is changed, and the lip color (which may not count because the shiny magikarp has the same color lips)? I could def be wrong of course, but I thought I'd say something while I was thinking it; hope that's okay n_n'

hii thanks! i always need feedback huehee dont feel bad at all! c: ok so the fin and tail are changed, the lip colour is changed, the body shape is round rather than that fishy thin-looking thing, the pattern on the body is different, and the whole fish is orange rather than red! c: i dont know if theyre obvious enough though Q.Q do you have any suggestions?

Hurm idk. Magikarp is a coral-ish orange already (he does look red in some caps from the anime but in some of the cards / games he's straight up orange.) I've seen recently that color changes don't 'count as changes' sometimes, so I'm not really sure how to advise on that... hurm. Maybe changing the scales behind the head to something else, or a different location? And possibly adding like a stripe on the white of the tail? I can't remember where I saw it, or read it, but I think (and I could be misremembering because I'm not super great at that) Jessi said that if at first glance it's obviously the tribute to the thing, it can't be accepted like that.

NP! You could always do a gradient on the whiskers?? Maybe gold near the body and fading out to orange, or the reverse of that? Or even a little curl at the end? or split at the end? C: The only pokemon tribute I've done was drifloon and I made him nightmare color themed, so I think that's probably why it was easier to get him accepted x'DDD
