I second s art/ sculpture contest so long as that part is not 1 day's time. There's definitely going to be a HA contest that I won't win.

I'm not a fan of the tent one as not everyone is on at the same time.

yeah, since it's gonna be a bigger celebration, I assumed it wasn't gonna be only the 1-day events, and some bigger one(s)

Event suggestion:

Raffle/contest and whoever wins can pick a CW design. Like they can present a hairstyle, or a piece of clothing (or maybe even ask for a recolor of an item that was already done). The winner still has to pay (or maybe gets a special discount), and is guaranteed a slot on the item they chose.

The theme is indeed pretty magical this month. ;)

We should be releasing next week, and even if you miss the initial ping, the only thing you'd miss out on is the bonus item! The rest of the boxes will be available for purchase all month long. And each day of events has at least 24 hours to allow for participation!

I don't know if an art contest would work out, since the full span of the events is so far only planned for a week! I would think most people would need more than that to submit art? It's a good suggestion though! We have a lot of prizes to give out, so the plan was for one new contest everyday with the HA contest getting 2 days.

Thank you for the suggestion! I don't know if this would work the way the boxes are made - we let each artist pick their own ideas. They're not getting a huge amount of payment for each box item, so we don't like to force anyone to draw anything in particular. Me and Cathii separately (on our own threads) have hosted similar contests before, though!

Yeah! it's just i went over my "unlimited" internet. (ha) and had to stay off line for about a week (Binge watching the Doctor for 12 hrs is NOT allowed)

That's very true! I think I'm going to have to stew over this and a couple of the other more intense ideas for a bit, but it would be cool to incorporate something a little more challenging sometime.

To throw in my opinion here - I think it would be awesome to have a speed art/code/writing contest! It sounds like there will be plenty of easier events, so maybe it's fine to have one that's more challenging for those who want a challenge - cuz people who aren't into that can just participate in the other events then.

If you incorporate speed into the contest description, then I think it would be less stressful for participants. That is, everyone would go into it aware that it's a time challenge for everyone, so it isn't "make your best artwork" but "make your best art in X time limit". Basically, people would sort of expect some of the results to look a bit rushed even, and it would take off pressure to make it polished.

Of course, it's still up to you, and I can see how such a thing could still be a bit much for the week. Especially with all the other fun stuff you have planned ^^

Hey, thanks for the suggestions! I had actually planned to make one of the days a (very short) story day, but maybe I will think about extending it to be a little more challenging/judged. Hahaha, obviously, I've got to get this hammered out this weekend so that the events are all ready to go next week when we release. XD I'm procrastinating....
