DAY 2: I wish with all my heart it´s some kind of Pern world. Telepathy, talking to animals through bonds, a society united in peace, that would be my heartfelt wish.

INDOCTRINATE THE BABY YOUNG. The earlier you start, the more likely it is to stick. I dressed my dog up in a baby Groot suit...he was not very pleased with me.

And yes, baby Groot acting like an actual baby was one of the cutest parts of the movie. THEY MADE UP, OKAY. THE FEELS WERE REAL

Gonna go with The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy. I can definitely imagine Earth just being in the way of some intergalactic highway. xD

Day 2 Event

What show represents the future? There is an anime called "Psycho Pass" that comes to mind. It is super creepy, but really interesting to me, since it deals with moral and psychology. Not sure I would WANT the future to be that way... but I could see it happening.

I would love to be a part of a world that was like Tron. How amazing would it be to get sucked into a computer and live in an entirely different digital world? The whole premise of that movie has always fascinated me and I think they did an awesome job on the remake too. It made me want that as a reality!

Futurama is such a hilarious satire of how the present day will lead to the future and I gotta say sometimes it gets so hashtag-real so I gotta go with that! (Also I just started rewatching it for probably the fifth time)

I think it will be like the Jetsons. One of my favorite cartoons growing up. Plus I want myself a Rosie.

Xenosaga! Despite the evil aliens it's got hyper-space travel, food vending machines, flying vehicles, battle androids, giant mechs, and unlimited wi-fi!

Hummm hard question in a way I think maybe something like the movie Passengers can happen, but would like to think a world more like Star Trek could happen plus teleporting needs to be in already. But many times I fear the world could become something like Wall-e.

Day 2 I am going to go with Futurama it may be fairly corny but it seems like the entire galaxy seems to get along fairly well and who doesn't want to hang out with a drunk robot! Lol! Really though even delivery people get to travel the whole galaxy and enjoy what we for the most part enjoy now as well. I thinkvthat would be cool.

OH MAN THIS ONE I MUST ENTER. Realistically ? I don't actually have a reference since I don't watch many war-torn films/shows. But ideally ? I'd like something more like Steven Universe. Rock-aliens aside, it's a very understanding and loving world despite being heavily war-torn.

What media (movie/book/comic/tv show/etc) have you seen that you think represents the "future" best, in your opinion? Or the future that you would WANT to see? I'm torn between 2 things :

Future I would want to see: Mass Effect inspired future - Super futuristic to a place where humans are now part of an intergalactic community with many other races and species. This feels incredibly far off in the future though. It's an incredibly inspiring universe where all species work together on councils are work out what's the best for everyone. The technology is great with holographic screens, everything is so sharp and sleek. Seems like if you want it, you can easily live a peaceful life.

Future most likely to happen: Firefly-esque future: This is the future where technology has it's limits, people get by with what they can. Some have better lives than others because they're able to work with what they have around them. In places there are utopias, in others barren deserts. To me, this universe feels the most realistic as to what future might hold. Plus I mean who doesn't love it to where worlds would go back to the way western styles worked when they're on planets where people have to survive without all the tech. This way people get more of a choice with how they want to live.

i have never been to tomorrowland at an actual disney park but in the movie it looked so flipping cool and i just want to go there immediately. i would love it if the future looked like that or at least a city that looks like it.

I'm honestly thinking a mixture of Fallout & Firefly. Maybe Black Mirror lol. I wish it would be something cool like Star Trek but I doubt we're gonna ever get there before we blow ourselves up. >.<

My current favorite idea of the future comes from Houseki no Kuni/Kingdom of Gems/Land of the Lustrous.

it's not very mainstream so a quick idea of the series without too much spoilers for anyone who is interested: The planet earth and it's inhabitants survived multiple asteroid hits from space. Persevering through the first, second, third, fourth, and fifth impacts. Finally, on the 6th asteroid the planet broke and so did it's inhabitants. They split into three parts; the spirit, flesh, and bone. Now, thousands of years later, the only thing that remains on earth are humanoid crystalline creatures and the forces that attack them.

May not be as realistic, but it was very visually appealing ^^ [will probably not happen, but I'd like it to.]

I'm going to have to say 1984 by George Orwell, with all the tecnology Big Brother really is always watching I would love to say the future would be like Star Trek though

I would have to say that to me, the one that represents it best would be the In Death book series by J.D. Robb.

The way things are portrayed and described just sounds exactly like how its going to be.

The media I want to represent the future would be Star Trek. I doubt the future will actually be as positive as the Trek universe but one can always hope.

I'm thinking the future will look something like ">Overwatch. ">

How I think the future will turn out? Probably like the Day After Tomorrow or 2012 lol. At least I would hope not, but who knows what might happen. 😉 I would prefer a happier future though. Hopefully the younger generation will learn from our mistakes and advance further than we've ever gone. :)
